I also can't do red undertones in brow products and I don't have any issues with it at all. I find it's a pretty neutral brown, even on the ashy side of brown - which is good if you don't want the red. I've attached a swatch and my before and after pic for reference. I hope that helped :)

I'm not sure about the medium brown, but I know the rich brown has no red tones to it. I have dark hair and varying skin tone between medium and tan.. the darker brown works great. I tend to run into issues with red-brown brow colors as well, so I was happily surprised with this new find (for me). Also, the brush is pretty soft, so the product went on steadily for me, as long as I wasn't packing on product and using a very heavy hand.

My natural hair color is very dark brown almost black looking so I decided to go with rich brown. I was looking for a natural look and wanted my brows to match my hair and it did. You have the choice of either making them very dark or light with the brush it comes with. Hope this helps.

Question
which shade to pick for black hair?
Hello everyone,
I have recently changed my hair color into the darkest shade ever "navy black" nut just normal black! lol so now i'm confused which one to pick for my brows , medium brown or rich brown? I don't like to look older than myself so which is more natural and matching with my light complexion & hair.

answer 2
If you don't want to look older than yourself I'd say go with the medium brown color, it's pretty dark anyway, they always say that no matter how dark your hair is you should never fill your brows in black or too dark, so that's my suggestion. Sephora/ most beauty stores are very good when it comes to accepting returns so if you don't like the shade just bring it back and exchange it. They also have no problem making samples, so express your concern and ask for two samples of both shades!

I have soft black hair & eyebrows. I bought the product in Rich Brown (darkest shade) & it is way too dark. I'm waiting for Medium Brown to arrive. For now to deal with the EXTREME dark, I set it with a light/medium matte brown eyeshadow.

I would go with Rich Brown; it's not too red--more on the ashy taupe side, and looks extremely natural with black hair. I just dyed my hair black and have been looking for a natural brow color for the longest time, but most brands dont make natural brow colors for black hair (even Anastasia).

Question
What is the texture of this product like?
I just purchased the medium brown shade, I'm just wondering what the texture is like. I thought it would be light and airy when dipping my brush in. Mine is a harder consistency, for instance if I put my brush in it doesn't make a dent in the product. I find myself dipping into the product a lot just to do my brows. Did I get a dud?

I do not believe you got a dud. The formula is not of a "mousse pudding" or whipped cream consistency- rather it is like a clay. It reminds me of harder gel eyeliners that come in the same type of containers. I find myself dipping a few times, but the product layers well for me and the color payoff is fabulous. I would suggest you got a dud if you are not having the same experience.

answer 2
It isn't a traditionally "moussey" texture. I thought it would be fluffy, too, but it has a little harder consistency in the jar. That being said, I only have to touch my brush to it maybe twice to get the required amount of product for each brow, so it sounds like yours is maybe dried out a little bit. =(

I have found the product works well with very small amounts. I don't make a dent in mine I just dab from the top and a nice natural color and texture does it's job but my brows are also very dark and only require minor filling.

Nope, mine is hard as well. I barely dip my brush in and it gives more than enough product for my brows. Right now, after a month, my pot looks like it has a few hairline wrinkles. A little bit goes a long way!

Question
Taupe or medium brown???
I have light to medium colored brown hair with lots of blonde highlights. I am also fair skinned (always the lightest shade in makeup), so can I get by with using the taupe color or do I need to use the medium brown?

Question
Does it dry out?
I have had bad luck in the past with cream liners and shadows from good brands drying out no matter how much I baby them. So I'm afraid no matter how good this product is initially, it might not last. If I spend so much money, I want to know I can use ALL of the product.

So can someone who has used this for a few months let me know how it holds up over time please?

Gel liners do dry out within 12-24 months due to the product's emollient texture. We recommend storing them upside down when not in use to keep the product fresh and moist to extend the life of the gel.
