Yes, the brush is included and I love that there is a spooley on the opposite end. Takes a bit of practice applying the mouse, but you will love it once you get the hang of it.

For dark brown hair, I suggest the Rich Brown. If you like to wear your brows a bit lighter go for the Medium Brown shade.

I am a Brown skinned AA woman and I bought the Medium brown which is just a tad dark to me. Unless you have super dark skin or jet black hair, I would go with the Medium Brown.

I would go for the Medium Brown, because I think these colors run a little dark, because it has a lot of pigment to it. My skin is Fair, but my Brows are on the thick side and med-dark. I have to be careful to apply lightly in the Med-Brown, or it looks too dark, especially when I highlight my naturally brunette hair. Thinking about getting the Taupe for when my hair is highlighted. So, if you have black brows, med to darker skin tone, you can go with the Rich Brown, that is a little darker color. Otherwise, go with the Meduim Brown

Medium brown definitely has a red undertone. I have similar coloring and had to trade it for the rich brown.

I also can't do red undertones in brow products and I don't have any issues with it at all. I find it's a pretty neutral brown, even on the ashy side of brown - which is good if you don't want the red. I've attached a swatch and my before and after pic for reference. I hope that helped :)

I'm not sure about the medium brown, but I know the rich brown has no red tones to it. I have dark hair and varying skin tone between medium and tan.. the darker brown works great. I tend to run into issues with red-brown brow colors as well, so I was happily surprised with this new find (for me). Also, the brush is pretty soft, so the product went on steadily for me, as long as I wasn't packing on product and using a very heavy hand.

I would go with Rich Brown; it's not too red--more on the ashy taupe side, and looks extremely natural with black hair. I just dyed my hair black and have been looking for a natural brow color for the longest time, but most brands dont make natural brow colors for black hair (even Anastasia).

My natural hair color is very dark brown almost black looking so I decided to go with rich brown. I was looking for a natural look and wanted my brows to match my hair and it did. You have the choice of either making them very dark or light with the brush it comes with. Hope this helps.
