Questions & Answers for BECCA Luminous Skin Colour Ultra Sheer Foundation SPF 25+

Question
Help with use - Go darker? Must mix in luminizer?
Received in Nude, a color match. Problem is I see almost no difference at after application (it is very sheer - 2 pumps, I see nothing). Do you go with a darker color, or must add in the luminizer to get some effect? I do like natural but this is really au natural, so much that it looks like I have nothing on at all. I am wondering if I go with a darker shade, and or mix in luminizer if that will give the effect of something on my skin. I do want some coverage, I have excellent skin but some redness areas. Suggestions? I do like the product as it feels like I have nothing on my skin, but do not like looking this bare (I may as well not use)

Don't spend your money on a darker one. Keep the one that matches and add extra coverage with a different foundation or a concealer where you need it. Using this all over will highlight the great parts of your skin, plus add extra hydration and no need for an additional SPF!

I have had the same problem. I think I get slightly more coverage with a primer. I also use a bit of concealer before I put on the foundation. If I still need a bit more coverage for redness I use a bit of powder foundation (BM) on top.

Hope that helps, that's how I've made this foundation work for me. I'm not sure if I'll buy it again when it runs out. :-/

I don't think it will matter if you go darker or not, this stuff is sheer no matter how you slice it. I'd mix it with a higher coverage oil base foundation to get a higher level of coverage, the illumining base is not going to get you more coverage, just a glow. I had the same issue when I got the foundation, I use it now for a base or mix with other foundations. I do feel its moisturizing and with the weather changing my skin appreciates the extra moisture.

My skin is combination (somewhat oil T-zone) but dry cheeks. I think it moisturizes really well. It's awesome because it never looks caked on.

This is the most moisturizing product I have ever put on my dry skin. It is VERY sheer; does add a bit of color but does not provide much coverage. I do use it, as my skin is dry and other foundations and even TM are just too drying and unflattering.

I have dry skin with dry patches and the foundation does not settle in lines or dry patches and my skin didn't feel like a desert. In fact my skin feels more hydrated.

Sephora dropped the Becca line a while back, they just brought it back this year. For now its only online, shelf space means money, so I think they want it to prove itself online before they make room for it in the stores. There may be one or two flagship stores that could be carrying it, but I'd suspect it would be LA or NY.

This product is SOOO light and sheer I think you can go much darker and blend, and it will still barely if at all show up. I bought in nude, a match for my fair skin and can't see at all. Am thinking of buying a much darker shade for a sheer wash of a darker color to see if that would show at least a super sheer hint of color.

I too am shade 4 in the Givenchy foundation and I wear the Becca Luminous Skin Colour Ultra Sheer SPF 25+ in the shade Nude. It's sheer enough to be a bit forgiving.

You may try sand or cashmere. Sand is slightly lighter than cashmere! Since sephora doesn't carry cashmere, give sand a chance! They are so sheer so you won't see big difference after they are set!

Question
Does it photograph well
Im getting married outside at a cottage in August (warm climate). I want a sheer, long wearing foundation but I'm worried my skin won't photograph well because of the SPF. Would you suggest this foundation for natural light photography? Thanks for your help

It does have oils in it which make it hydrating so you may want to take a quick self photo and see how shiny or matte your skin turns up in photos. If it does get too shiny, oil blotting sheets will take away the shine without caking up your complexion.

I dont think you will have a problem with Becca, I'm all for Becca because you don't even know its on. Its not crawling on your skin and people just think you have very smooth skin. I think if you can get your shade and give it a test run then do so before you get married. I have lots of photo's of myself wearing becca, I love it!

Thinking of the Nars that you use, I think you should try Camel or Nude Becca. Its really hard to to say without seeing you. Good luck!
