I use this after the SK II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion which is like a toner. I say if you also are using a serum I would use the serum after your toner and before your moisterizer.

My understanding of many Asian skin care regimens is that the cream formulas are to be used last, use the thinner more watery products first. For instance, I have the SK-II Stempower Cream, SK-II Essence, and the SK-II Facial Lift Emulsion on my vanity. If I were layering the products I believe it would be Essence, Facial Lift, then Stempower Cream. If I had a serum it would be applied after the Essence... if I had an eye cream it would be applied right before the Stempower Cream. One more tip I read is to give your skin about 5 minutes to absorb each application. The SK-II products are beneficial even if you only use ONE of them, (I love this line)... so basically I found that I don't really 'have' to layer, which means I will get a lot more life out of my purchases. Hope this helps, good luck :)

I can't find the skin signature cream anywhere either. I can't actually tell the difference between the two; however, I used up the skin signature cream prior to buying this one, so I'm not comparing them side by side. This one seems to work just as well as the skin signature.

From what I understand, this (my jar says Stem Power but I got it from Japan) currently replaced the Skin Signature line. I think they added ginseng root extract or something like that :) I just started using this a month ago so I had not tried the original but I can say with certainty that this works wonders... hope that helps :)

Question
Acne prone skin?
Does this product cause break outs or white heads on acne prone skins? I use a salicylic acid treatment during the day to treat the occasional pimples but i find that it's drying my skin a bit. I also want my moisturizer to have anti-aging ingredients and thought this may be a good product. Any thoughts?

I have acne prone skin too but this never gave me any sort of breakout. Plus my skin is pretty sensitive and gets allergy reaction to many products (bare mineral foundation is one of them too even though it is said to be 'good' for skin), but never had reaction to this one from SK-II. I suppose this product is pretty mild, but strong effects.

Hi chateau6,

This product does not contain any ingredients that would clog your pores or cause break outs. We recommend reaching out to your local store to get a sample.

Parabens
This product has 3 parabens. Are they ever "safe"?

answer 1
Parabens are a family of chemicals that have been widely used in cosmetics and foods as preservatives since the 30s. The concerns over parabens stem from a 2004 study which found parabens in breast cancer tumor cells. Unfortunately, that study did not test for paraben levels in normal, healthy tissue and subsequent studies on parabens' safety have not been conclusive. That being said, some people do have allergies to parabens, so it is important to be careful (as always) and to check product labels for ingredients you may be allergic to. It is very important to know what preservatives are present in the products you are using as some preservatives can cause serious allergic reactions or even interfere with medications.

Question
Will I be allergic to it
Hi,

I have been using SK-II Facial Treatment Essence for a few months and I really like it.
I also tried SK-II Cellumination Cream EX but every time I used it I noticed many tiny dots around my eyes and sometimes on my face, it seemed like that the cream was too harsh for me and burnt my skin. I had to return the SK-II Cellumination Cream EX,

I still use SK-II Facial Treatment Essence everyday and I like it a lot. I want to try the essential power moisturising cream but I am afraid that I might experience the same allergic reaction.

What should I do
Thank you
