I did some research on this product before purchasing and a website that analyzes the ingredients in skincare products gave this a great review and said it was safe for acne-prone skin. My experience with it has confirmed this.

I have been using this for about 1 wk. I have combo skin, with oily tzone, prone to breakouts. So far, no breakouts. Only awesome coverage, with a natural dewy finish. I do use Shiseido Loose Translucent Powder to set this, because my tzone is so bad, and using those two together gives me about 6-8 hrs of being touch up free. Smashbox BB Cream was great for oil control, but made me breakout. No complaints with this one. Highly recommend.

Yes this provides a matte finish specially when coupled with a light dusting of setting powder. This BB cream lasts for a pretty long time and does not oxidize.

Inbetween. If you want matte it's one of the better BB creams, but if you just want a great tinted moisturizer then go with Bobbi Brown's oil-free tinted moisturizer.

i would assume based on your ethnicity that you may want to try Natural, Fair or Medium. All these colors are good for olive/slightly tanned complexions.

go to a store, try the BB cream on the skin at your jaw line close to your neck, see which color close to your skine tone. Ask for some sample to take home.
They will be more than happy to help out.

I'm a light-med and the SA at another store matched me with Med. I have yellow undertones and am Asian too. Your best bet would be to try it on in the store. BB creams to run light.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream v. Tarte Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer
Does this BB Cream provide better coverage than the Tarte Smooth Operator TM?

Although I have not tried this product, I do have Tarte tinted moisturizer in Smooth Operator and I am not a huge fan. It makes my combo skin oily. I like the Tarte 12 Hour tinted treatment because it goes on smooth, but I agree with the reviewer above -- the amount of silicone/dimethicone in a product makes it go on much smoother. Also, tarte does not look good on dry patches so make sure you moisturize! Based on the other reviews for this BB cream, it's not very good for dry skin, but it's still worth a shot. The biggest difference to me between this and Tarte's Smooth Operator is the amount of silicone in the products. Tarte's BB Cream feels great going on because of the silicone, but I find it never sets; when I blow my nose 2 hours after putting it on there is product all over the tissue. Bobbi Brown's BB cream does have some silicone in it, but it set almost immediately and didn't rub off at all. For me (combination skin with T-Zone breakout problems), the trade off was that the Bobbi Brown was more difficult to apply. The Tarte feels light and whipped and spreads easily. However, I've been having more breakouts since I started using the Tarte, so I've been looking for something else. I really like that the Bobbi Brown stays put. The colors and coverage seem very similar between the two. I love both brands, so I'd request a sample of this from the store if you're worried about making the full-size plunge. I hope this helps.

It doesn't have a smell. However, if you are very pale, this may be too dark for you; even the "extra light" shade is not incredibly fair.

Question
what if too dry for my skin?
I purchased a week ago. I have worn it for three days, but I get started to notice that my skin becomes so dry that my whole face is peeling, particularly chin, fore head and cheeks. BTW, I have put on toner, moisturizer and sunblock beneath it. Looking forward to hearing solution. Thanks!

I found a solution and I've enjoyed this BB cream so far.
First of all, it works better in summer cause your skin is more oily on average.
Second, I use fairly rich moisturizer and liquid sunblock under the BB cream, which together make a very good compensation for the dryness.
Although this BB Cream is a bit drier than some other BB balms, but it provides very good coverage. So I don't have to wear any liquid foundation nor powder. I'm getting used to it and started love it.

I had the same problem, but I also live in an extremely dry climate most of the year. When I go to Aruba for two months in the winter I find that it works entirely different. I have very oily skin in a hot climate and this corrects it. I see on the description that it's a favorite in Asia ....where it is extremely humid!

I really like the Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Pale Yellow. While I am not in your shade, Pale Yellow is reccommended for many of her shades. I would defintely try it on before purchasing, but given some redness in my cheeks, I find this to be a good fit. It is very sheer. If you have oily skin it isn't chalky or overly mattifying. In fact, if you have very oily skin, this may not do enough for you, but is a beautiful powder and worth trying out.

i was wonderign the same thing, but really? ingredients for bobbi brown products are rarely given/found? correct me if i'm wrong but that's kinda illegal (shame shame bobbi brown). maybe if we want to know the ingredients, we'll have to go to the store and look at the actual tube or the box it comes in or something (I know, right? so much work haha) i hate it when ingredients are listed!

Question
how to use this product with other facial products
so my normal routine is Laura Mercier "radiance" primer, Nars sheer glow foundation, then illuminator and blush. Sometimes I put eye cream on underneith. How does this work? Does it go on instead of primer? before primer? after primer? after primer under foundation? does it go on instead of foundation? I'm so confused lol.

I want to get the full benefits of the cream, so I'm hesitant to put anything under it, but I'm wondering if that's the intention? or is this a base for everything, primer included?

Thank you for any insight.

if you have to use primer, then use BB cream after primer. If you like more coverage, then put foundation after BB cream to build more coverage. And set with power.
