If you put a clear coat on top of the beads the color on them will run off. I put a little bit clear coat at the tip of my nail that way the color doesn't come off the beads as easily. If you buy this set it comes with an instruction/tip booklet that tells you how to apply the nail polish, beads, and clear coat.

Absolutely!! This is the only way to go. Put a thin, good quality top coat on top and they'll last a long time.

Yes you can apply a clear coat, but be careful. For the first couple nails I applied too much clear coat and it caused the color on the pearls to melt (which really doesn't look good). Even with the clear coat (I applied two layers of clear coat), after a week, half of the pearls fell off already.

The instructions say to put a clear coat only on the tips of your nails to seal them in. I did that on one hand and it worked really well. I forgot to do it on the other and I could tell a difference right away. Doing just the tips worked well for me.

YES! If you want them to stay, anyway. Just make sure not to put too much. Line the top of the nail especially.

Oh and i forgot do press on the beads while the nail is still wet so they are secured or they will fall right off.

I have them on right now. it's been 2 days since i did the manicure and the beads are still in place. what i did was put one coat of the polish an let it dry and when i put the second coat left it to dry until tacky then top coat (essie) and the beads over the still wet top coat. i also put top coat over the beads but it dulls out the colors a bit since they bleed a little if you are not careful(for me it's worth it). you don't have to do the second coat but be generous with the top coat so they stick better. hope this helps!

Yes u can on the instruction video I seen on youtube they recommend only at the tips of the beads so they don't fall off but for me it made it easier to come off I had to be careful not to smear the whole thing off while applying it jus a small thin lair is ok....

don't waste your money. go to a fabric store and buy the little balls for way less, use nail polish you already own. The colors are nice with this set, however the balls don't last an hour on your nails... I mean don't last 20 min.
