use with lipstick primer?

Hi, I bought this and I love the color and pretty much everything about it. It is a little drying though and can be hard to get perfectly even on my lips. Would a lipstick primer help with these issues?

Try applying lip balm to your lips prior to applying but allowing about 15-20 mins for the balm to sink in. Blot off the excess balm then apply the product. Lip primer is a waste of money.

Exfoliate your lips first before applying Guerlain. And, I tend to use a lip brush for more precise application. A primer would prevent the long lasting effect because there'd be a barrier between Guerlain and your lips. And, if you have problems with feathering, apply less and use a lip brush, or you can use the cargo reverse lip liner which goes outside the line of your lips and will prevent feathering. If your lips are a little dry, make sure your hydrated, this tends to be the issue in dry climates. Guerlain doesn't dry out my lips and I'm in Phoenix.

I don't find these drying at all but I live in the South, so perhaps that i climate related. I would recommend Fresh sugar lip polish to exfoliate and wear a good hydrating lip balm every night. Another trick I use if my lips feel dry is appling a lightweight but very hydrating lip balm on at the beginning of my beauty routine (I use chanel in a pot) by the time I get the lips the are moist, prepped and ready for color!

In my experience a lip primer would be a bad idea. All the times that I've used one, it seems like it's prevented the color from really grabbing onto my lips.

I would google Guerlain Rouge G swatches online, look at a couple of different blogs, because lighting might influence the appearance. I often use this and have great success with my color choices. It was how I chose Colere a coral/red for myself, This color may look to bright this time of year, you probably want something more lush

the Luxure color is a deep/rich brown based red. Great on olive skin tones. It would be perfect for a black tie wedding. The Orguiel color is also great. A little bit deeper berry color.

Slide the applicator into the plastic tube extending from the end of the metal holder. Screw down until you feel some resistance, then push the entire applicator towards the body of the compact to engage the little metal flange there on the applicator handle over the top of the mirror flap.
