How do I get these things out of their plastic packaging?
This is the stupidest question ever: How the devil do I get these things out of their plastic packaging? They're stuck in a sort of plastic bar thing, which restrains them at both ends. Behold, a picture:

And I'm afraid I may have already bent them trying to wrench them out of the plastic. I tried to cut through it with my manicure scissors, but no luck. I think I need bolt cutters or something. But my point is, are you *supposed* to need bolt cutters? What am I missing here?
