What's the difference btwn the 2 long-hair models at different prices?

There seems to be 2 sets for long hair, one at $99 and this more expensive one. Is there any difference between the two?

this one has a base that heats 12 rollers, whereas the $99 version heats only 6 rollers. BUT BEWARE - the $149 version doesn't include the clips you need to hold the rollers (go figure!)

Both come with 12 rollers, however the higher value set can warm up all 12 rollers at once, while the other can only heat up 6 at a time.

I have long hair too (nearly to my waist and I'm 6 ft tall). They will work - but you will have to be very careful to keep the hair completely smooth while rolling and unrolling so it doesn't get tangled in the teeth of the rollers. I've been amazed at how well they curl my hair. At first I thought the small diameter of the roller would create curls that were too tight, but the weight of longer hair relaxes the curl just enough.

Yes, I have this set and it seems it would only be useful for hair as long as yours. My hair is thick and goes to my waist but I still don't get my hair around the whole barrel.

Does anyone know the size of rollers in each of the two different sets, long and short?

I have NEVER seen a description of hot rollers that excluded the size of roller that they are trying to sell, until these. This is a first and I am VERY hesitant to purchase at this price without all the facts. HELP ME !!

I have the short set, the silver ones are about 1" and the purple ones are about 1.25"/ I read somewhere that these blue ones are about .75", which is about what I'd guess by the pictures compared to the other ones.
