Questions & Answers for Ole Henriksen Power Peel™ Professional Spa Grade Kit

Question
Wash off?
The directions for the lemon peel http://www.sephora.com/lemon-strip-flash-peel-P375423 say to wash off after 10 minutes, but the directions here say not to wash off, so which one is it?

No you add the lemon peel, wait according to the directions (3 minutes I believe) and then add the lotion on top. Then you wait 15 minutes and wash everything off.

I followed the directions included in the package -- not removing it, but putting the chamomile comfort cream over it -- and my face didn't melt off or anything. Seemed to work well.

answer 3
After rinsing off the exfoliater scrub, dry your face and smooth on the lemon peel. Do not rinse off the lemon strip. After three minutes, smooth on the chamomile comfort mask on top of the lemon peel. Wait 15 minutes and rinse your face.

The instructions that I received in the box said to leave the lemon acid part on for 2-3 min. and then apply the mask over it. Leave on for about 15 min. and then wash everything off.

When using it with the mask, you don't wash it off. You'll apply step 3 over it and then wash off step 3 with it underneath when the step 3 time lapses!

If you aren't sure, I wouldn't do it; After I used the product, I didn't see any need for toner immediately afterwards.

Because this burned my skin so badly the first time I used it, I tried to put ANYTHING on my face that would cool it off - big mistake. Hurt worse. I wouldn't recommend toner.

It depends on your skin type. Daily peeling is not recommended for any skin type as you can damage your skin. If your skin is really oily, I might do every other week. I have combo skin and use this product monthly.

As far as I can tell they are the same thing. I was trying to do the math to figure out which was a better value. They come out just about the same, with the kit slightly better. I like these because I beleive they keep the product fresher and uncontaminated.

If you compare both, you'll see that it's exactly the same product, but one of them is a trial. Buy the one with only two treatments, that way if you dislike it, it won't be a waste of money, but I think you'll love it!

I don't think so. After using the six treatments once a week for six weeks, the results seemed to be a smoother surface, but nothing that dramatic. I suspect removing those dark spots will require professional treatment. Sorry to disappoint!

I have a dark spot (luckily at my hair line, where no one can see). This product isn't really strong enough to help with dark spots. I plan on trying a spa peel next month to see if that will help.

I didn't notice any change in anything when I used it. It isn't strong enough, IMO. It isn't as strong as the mildest Retin-a, which is pretty mild.

On my first treatment I could see a difference in my sun/acne spots. I had even tried microderm abraison, laser and a 3-day peel at a local spa and did not get the results i got from this product. I does tingle perhaps even slight buning sensation - the price of beauty.

I would say it depends on how sensitive your skin is. I think you can do every 6-8 weeks, and if you feel your skin is handling it well, can move it up to every 4 or 5 weeks.

I've used Philosophy's Microderm Abrasion peel system in the past with no visible results. This product however seems to be a much better bargain, and more importantly actually produces visible results for my skin. It's helped with adult acne, fine lines, and visibility of pores. My husband has even used it a few times because he feels that it thoroughly cleans his pores and skin. I also use the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel which I LOVE. Try it in the 14 day trial (you will buy the 30 applications after your initial 2 weeks when you see what it does for your skin).
