T3 Source Showerhead Filter

What it is: A shower filter that removes 95 percent of chlorine plus other impurities thereby improving hair body, shine, color retention, and skin hydration. What it does: A shower is the most important step in any beauty routine. Showering with chlorinated water dries out hair and skin and fades hair color. Chlorine is the real culprit behind dry, damaged hair and skin. Regular household water can contain half as much chlorine as a swimming pool. Shampoos and conditioners don't purify water. T3 Source filters do. T3 Source works with any shampoo and conditioner or skin cleanser. It's super easy to install and replacing the filter is even easier. With the benefits of T3 Source, beauty begins in the shower: - Copper, zinc, and calcium: work together to convert and remove chlorine. - Tourmaline: produces negative ions that reduce water cluster size which improves filtration. - Anti-scaling: low maintenance spray nozzles resist scale buildup. - Eight premium spray settings: provide the ultimate luxurious shower experience from a gentle rainfall to a tension-releasing massage. What else you need to know: Through a filtration process called “Redox”, T3 Source Shower Filters transform chlorine into harmless elements that are too large to be absorbed by hair and skin. This patented technology is tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)—a US water supply auditor and world health organization member. The T3 Source Showerhead features a two-year limited warranty and is covered with telephone support and repair options. Research results: -T3 Source Shower Filters remove up to 95% of chlorine from shower water for a dramatic improvement in hair health, hair color retention, and skin texture and appearance. After 10 washes measuring average hair health (as defined by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists) and Beauty Benefits when compared to using tap (standard at 2.5ppm chlorine) water: - 49% reduction in frizz - 22% increase in body - 36% increase in manageability - 31% increase in shine Proven skin benefits: - By filtering the chlorine from your shower water, your skin may be less dry, retain more moisture, and look healthier

Questions & Answers for T3 Source Showerhead Filter

Question
angle of showerhead
i love this showerhead, but my husband and i are having a hard time using it because, no matter how we try, we can't seem to get the showerhead to tilt upwards. it seems that the showerhead is so heavy that it's impossible to keep up. i can imagine that, if you're short, this isn't a problem, but for tall people like us, it's hard to get under the water. is there any way to fix the angle of the showerhead?

thanks for the answers. we didn't end up returning the showerhead and improvised by using a bottle of conditioner to hold it up. a few weeks later, it stood up on its own! weird, but we'll take it.

you may have gotten one that is not working properly. You should probably return it for a new one. You can contact T3 and they will probably send you a new one.

Question
Where is the replacement color indicator?
the instructions that came with this product were not sufficient, even though it ended up being super easy to install. It references a color indicator that turns black but I don't see it anywhere?! Where is it located?

the replacement filter has a little window on the side. it's starts out gold and then turns black.. unfortunately, to check on it, you'll have to unscrew the head so you can look.

The filter replacement indicator is located on the filter inside the showerhead. On the black wrap, there is a rectangle cutout that allows you to see the color of the filter media inside. The filter media will turn black when it's time to change the filter.

It has helped my skin feel less "Ashy" even as the winter approaches. I've also noticed less break outs, but I'm not sure if that's from the showerhead or just b y chance.

Can the filter be turned on and off?
I'm not the only person who uses my shower, and I'd rather not have to pay for more replacement filters because my brother used the previous ones up.

Question
Have you noticed a reduction in the amount of hair falling out?
I never had a problem with significant hair falling out until I moved into an older apartment building. Everytime I return to a "house" and shower my hair falls out significantly less. But as soon as I return to my apartment, my hair falls out like crazy during washing and after when brushing. I suspect its the water and/or deposits in the plumbing.

Showerhead model 5-6 months or 10,000 gallons
Hand-Held model 3-4 months or 3,000 gallons
However, it is easy to simply unscrew the two halves of the Showerhead or Hand-Held handle to check the window on the filter. If it's black, it's time to change the filter.
