T3 Source Hand-Held Shower Filter

What it is: A hand-held shower filter that removes 95 percent of chlorine plus other impurities thereby improving hair body, shine, color retention, and skin hydration. What it does: A shower is the most important step in any beauty routine. Showering with chlorinated water dries out hair and skin and fades hair color. Chlorine is the real culprit behind dry, damaged hair and skin. Regular household water can contain half as much chlorine as a swimming pool. Shampoos and conditioners don't purify water. T3 Source filters do. T3 Source works with any shampoo and conditioner or skin cleanser. It's super easy to install and replacing the filter is even easier. With the benefits of T3 Source, beauty begins in the shower: - Copper, zinc, and calcium: work together to convert and remove chlorine. - Tourmaline: produces negative ions that reduce water cluster size which improves filtration. - Anti-scaling: low maintenance spray nozzles resist scale buildup. - Eight premium spray settings: provide the ultimate luxurious shower experience from a gentle rainfall to a tension-releasing massage. - Extendable 59 to 78-inch hose What else you need to know: Through a filtration process called “Redox”, T3 Source Shower Filters transform chlorine into harmless elements that are too large to be absorbed by hair and skin. This patented technology is tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)—a US water supply auditor and world health organization member. The T3 Source Hand-Held Shower features a two-year limited warranty and is covered with telephone support and repair options. Research results: After 10 washes measuring average hair health (as defined by the Society of Cosmetic Chemists) and Beauty Benefits when compared to using tap (standard at 2.5ppm chlorine) water: - 49% reduction in frizz - 22% increase in body - 36% increase in manageability - 31% increase in shine Proven skin benefits: - By filtering the chlorine from your shower water, your skin may be less dry, retain more moisture, and look healthier

Yes, for the handheld it requires a filter change 3-4 months. You get 2 filters for $30.00. It is also recommended that you rotate the filter once a month. Mine is new, so I haven't had to replace it yet. The filter turns black when it needs to be replaced.

This product comes with the hand-held unit, hose, bracket, filter (inside handle), complimentary plumber's tape and a filter reminder cling. It has everything necessary for installation though you may need a crescent wrench if your showerhead is difficult to remove due to calcium/lime build up.

Usually the filter has paper stickers on either end of the filter to keep the fibers from spilling out through the mesh. This is for new replacement filters only. The filter that is installed in the tool may not have these stickers. If you can see the gold filter media through each end of the filter, then there's no seal to remove.

Question
Is my bracket defective?
The showerhead & hose do not fit properly into the bracket. I followed the instructions precisely, the flow of water, pressure, and everything else is perfect. The problem is the showerhead needs to sit in the bracket, and it does not fit. It can sort of rest in it for a moment, but the weight of the head, contour of the bracket, and the shape of the showerhead/filter are not conducive to showering. I've had other hand-held showerheads, I know how to install them and how they should fit. I'm curious if this is just a poor design, or if mine is actually defective. Huge bummer! I have other T3 products and they are amazing, I'm having a hard time believing T3 would put out a showerhead that doesn't fit in the bracket...yet it doesn't look deformed or vastly different from the picture above (except mine won't stay put in the bracket). Guidance, please!

Please contact our Consumer Service department here: http://www.t3micro.com/contact for assistance. You may want to send a photo of the issue to help determine if the unit is defective or not. The hand-held unit should sit snugly in the bracket.

If correctly installed, the bracket should feel very tight on the shower pipe, yet you should still be able to pivot it in the direction necessary to hold the shower arm where you want it. Check this first. Then place the shower arm in the bracket. If the bracket starts to droop under the weight of the shower arm, contact our consumer service department for a replacement bracket.

Question
Difference in T3 filter and Colour Couture?
I recently bought the Colour Courture hand held shower filter system and I'm wondering which one works better the T3 or Courture? The T3 is new and I see it says 95% reduction and the Courture says 90% so I'm a little irritated that I spent that much money on a filter system when there is a better one out.

While we cannot comment on which one works better, we can tell you that the T3 Source collection is the only filtration system that is certified by the NSF for effective chlorine removal. Our collection is also clinically proven to reduce frizz, increase shine, body and comb-ability. Users have also noticed an improvement in their skin and hair color retention.
