HERMÈS Eau des Merveilles

Eau des Merveilles tells the tale of an imaginary journey at Hermès, the feet on the ground, the head among the stars. A modern fairy tale, bursting with charm and mystery. The perfume of enchantment, capturing the spirit of wood, the memory of the oceans, and the sparkle of a constellation.Elixir des Merveilles reveals itself as provocative and gourmand, while Eau Claire des Merveilles adds a twinkling and tender chapter to the collection.Woody, Amber.

Questions & Answers for HERMÈS Eau des Merveilles

Question
Is the Elixer supposed to be the Eau de Parfum version of the Eau de Toilette? Or is it a completely different formulation?

The Elixir is a different formulation. It is a gourmand version of the Eau des Merveilles. Here are the notes for the Elixir: chocolate-covered candied orange peel, caramel, vanilla biscuit (vanilla sugar, tonka bean), creamy milk, sandalwood, incense, resins, ambergris, Peru balsam and balsam of Siam, oak, patchouli and cedar.

It's supposed to be, but I found the elixir to smell like fertilizer. EDT smells way better.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge Elixir is parfum to EdM. I've tried it but always go back to EdM. Strangely, Elixir doesnt stay all day on me like EdM does.
Hope this helps!

since this is for 3 entirely different products can you please separate the listing? It makes the reviews non-sensical.

It's a beautiful sexy beachy summertime scent. I am reminded of hot summer days at the beach...that sweet sticky feeling of salt and sand. My HG for summer....that and eau Claire

Question
What is the difference in fragrance notes between L'Ambre des Merveilles, Eau des Merveilles, Elixir des Merveilles, and Eau Claire des Merveilles
I'm just wondering if there is a difference in sillage and intensity, and perhaps if one is more appropriate for spring, one is more for autumn, etc.

Eau des Merveilles is the original scent in this line, and combines spicy woods with ambergris. A lot of reviews mention that it smells like a summer day at the beach which I definitely agree with. Elixir des Merveilles is the gourmand version of the original, and takes the ocean and woods and combines it with candied orange and chocolate. For the L'Ambre, I find that the powdery amber comes through pretty strongly, but I have not personally worn it for any amount of time. I think the Elixir is a great fall/winter scent while the Eau is better for spring/summer as the Elixir can be pretty heavy.
