Belisima (pale pink) ?
i have blonde hair med skin tone , is this pink a washed out pink ? im looking for a mediium tone of pink, dont like the real pale ones. any suggestions?

I would say that the pink is like an intense bubble gum pink. Not washed out at all you will need a gloss over it so you could use a deeper pink gloss if you wanted more brilliance

If you are talking about the Corina colour - it is not pink! It is a vibrant, orangey-red!

Color
This color is called "sheen" so does that mean it's more sheer than the others? Also, I have some other Stila lips stuff and it is super-sticky. Is this sticky?

No this is dry and matte. In fact, I had to add lipgloss to it to make my lips look less flat. This caused problems because it does not stay in place when lipgloss is applied over it and transfers to cups, hands, and face very easily.

I do not know about the color sheen, but it is DEFINITELY NOT sticky. Once you put it on and give it a minute to dry it feels really good with no sticky residue.

It's certainly NOT sheer. It's solid and very "There". It is matte. It is longlasting, more so than many other lines but will bland off with frequent lip wetting. It is not sticky at all.

This product is wet and a little sticky going on, but it dries normally to a regular lipstick feel. I think the "sheen" label means that it has a satiny finish as opposed to matte or glossy. That's how it looks and feels to me. The red color "Beso" is not sheer at all; in fact, it is quite opaque. I would expect the other colors to be opaque, too.

I'm not sure about the Sheen colour but as for the stickiness - this product is not sticky at all. It dries after about 10 seconds of applying it to your lips. It is not a lipgloss; it goes on liquid then dries and looks like a nice lipstick.

The color is definitely not sheer. It has great coverage and lasts for hours! It is matte though, so I prefer to use a lip balm over it to prevent my lips from feeling dry.

long lasting
I apppear to apply moisture (wet my lips) shortly after applying lipstiick.. Several lipsticks advertised as long lasting dissolve within an hour or two. Will this lipstick stay on for several hours or will it streak off?

Yes. However, I would suggest that you refrain from applying anything right before this lipstick. Do apply moisturizer after.

It doesn't stay on very well if you put lipgloss on top of it, even after you let it dry. It smears off onto cups and on the rest of your face and hands if you are not careful. I found it a very difficult lip color but maybe because I picked too dark a shade. If it had been a lighter color I would not have had to overlay gloss to tone it down.

My lips do get a little dry after applying this stain, but no crack in the color. I use a clear gloss after the product and the color really pops! My lips feel great. I have gotten many compliments. Only problem with adding the gloss is the color tends to smudge, so just be aware.

The lipstick lasts all day, but if you put lip balm on top of it then it will disappear within an hour or so. I usually moisturize my lips at night using Fresh Sugar as treatment, and sleep with lip balm. Then I don't need lip balm during the day to interfere with my long lasting lipstick.

The Stila Liquid lipstick will stay on when you wet your lips or drink alcohol, however I have found that if you put another lipstick over it or any lip gloss/greasy lip balm it will start smearing and it is SO intense when it starts coming off it is dramatic. I've gotten used to not putting anything under or over it, and my lips still feel nice (not too drying) and it stays on till I actively take it off ( 6 hours +).

Yes the color is beautiful and soo in style right now but, sigh... Its not truly a long wearing lipshade. when you come into contact with what ever with your lips the color does come off. If your not eating or drinking your fine.

This product is not good for long term wear. Looks sharp for the first application, but that is all. Do not wear to a date or dinner (you will regret it).

I was told by the Sephora gals to apply moisture after you apply the lipstick for longer wear. I find with most after you eat the color does not stay but otherwise last until then. I always use a lip liner to define the lips.

it really does last, I usually don't apply anything on top because i like the matte look. So for me it lasts all day...wore it to a water fall for some zip-line rides etc..did not move http://jlcwomen.wordpress.com/ check out the lips in a few of the pics lol still on even after being in the water :)

Is this a good color for a "fall" skin tone?
I am a red head with very light Irish skin and green hazel eyes, and some of the reds I have purchased are too pink for me, I am looking for a classic red that will enhance my skin tone not make it look garish--would this be the color for me? It's for the show the Philadelphia Story, and the photo is from the show... Thanks a million for any input.

Trust me you won't regret, it's one of the best red out there ! Unless you don't wear bold lip colors or a fan of matte. It's matte but not drying which is the best part, gives a pin up classic field to it. Plus all the colors are beautiful and long lasting. It's worth the price as my opinion. But if you are still not sure I suggest go to sephora in person and try it out and than decide weather you want to buy it or not :).

I too am a fair skinned redhead and this color is fantastic. A very classic red, not pink. I am obsessed with it and get so many compliments!

I worried about that too, because I am kind of dark I didnt want to walk around with red/pink lips, but this is the perfect kind of red, no nasty orange or pink hues to it! I would recommend it

I have fair skin and blue eyes, and the sales woman at Sephora had me try Beso because it is a red with blue tones... and it was PERFECT! RED RED RED. I was born with red hair as a baby (all fell out) and have a lot of red heads in my family.... so I have very light skin with pink tones, and any pink in a lipstick is horrible on me. I also went back to purchase the Fiery for a more day to day look (still dramatic, but just a hair darker red). Give this a try, I think you will like it and Sephora has a wonderful return policy.

There are two reds: one is more "true" and not a bit pink, IMHO. The other is a little on the orange side. I chose the first and although I am not a redhead, I have very fair skin. I think it looks very good.

When I tried "beso" red in the store, it was a true red with just a tiny hint of blue. That is to say that it was not orangey at all. It did not look pinkish or fuschia - just red that leaned more towards blue than orange, if that makes sense.
I also tried the Tarte "Glamazon™ Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipstick" in "Wild- Cool Red", which is also featured in this group of products, and it was nearly the same color only not as intense. This Stila red is VERY intense. With your pale skin, the Tarte might be a better choice, since it's still a true red, but the density can be built up, and it starts out less intense. I hope this helps.
