So both of the foundations are the same color, it's just that one is matte and one is a tiny bit shimmery (so they say. I haven't noticed a huge difference between the two, honestly.)

Question
What is the difference between mineral veil and touch up veil
I have used this before, but it was someone elses not mine. They had the mineral veil and I loved it. Just wondering what the difference is?

The touch-up veil in the compact is a pressed, not loose, powder. Its purpose is to provide extra coverage where you feel that your skin is going to get greasy throughout the day. It is not a multidimensional color like the normal veil is, so it certainly isn't a substitute. Hope this helps.

answer 2
Mineral Veil is loose and Touch Up Veil is pressed in a compact, that's pretty much the only difference. The new Ready products may have more skin care properties than the loose versions, other than that they should be very similar besides the form they come in.

answer 3
The mineral veil is used as a finishing powder. Thats the first product I owned, and probably my favorite as I use it with any makeup I wear, even prior to buying the bareMinerals set. It doesnt have any color in it though so it wont act as a foundation. Just gives an even finish and oil protection. The foundation would put an even tone to your skin and cover any imperfections prior to applying the mineral veil. I hope this helps!

Golden Tan is for Tan skin with yellow / olive undertones. If you are darker, Golden Deep would be the next shade, but that is pretty dark I think.

There are 12 items shown in the picture and only 10 items listed in the description, and some of those are included only in certain skin tone kits. Not sure what the kit really includes.

Question
How do I decide what my complexion is?
I don't live near a Sephora store, I'm stationed outside of the US. I live in where the sun hardly shines and I do not tan so my complexion has faded and washed away. How do I decide on what my complexion is? I'm light skinned hispanic with not a perfect complexion. :(

Light may work for you if you have yellow undertones, Medium if you have pink undertones, if you are very light, then Fairly Light may work but it is for neutral undertones. It just depends on your undertones!

If you have yellow pigment underneath your skin, get the light colored makeup set. That is what I use (I am half asian and half white). You could also go into a beauty deptartment in Europe and ask them what your color and complexion is. That might help you out more than guessing.

Question
which bare minerals original color do I use?
I usually get fairly medium original foundation. This bare minerals get started kit does not give this color option, only light or medium. Which color matches more to that?

Fairly Light may work for you, if you're not sure, go get matched. If Fairly Light is too dark you may need Fair which is not available in the kit.

answer 2
Medium is the next shade darker than Farily Medium because they are both for cool/pink undertones. Light is for yellow undertones. So Medium would match better than Light if you usually use Fairly Medium, it will just be a tad darker. The shades for pink/cool undertones are Fair, Fairly Light, Fairly Medium, Medium, Medium Tan. I use Medium normally, or Fairly Medium once I've lost some color, even though so far this winter I am still using Medium. Light looks yellow on me.

Hope this helps, sorry for babbling!
