It took me about a month, since I had much acne scarring to fix. My scars were red and hard to cover before I used the mask, and they mostly faded since then. Others' problems may be simpler so would results would come faster.

2-3 for me, though I thought my skin felt more smooth after the first use.

It was pretty obvious there were results after the first tube. If you don't see results by then it probably isn't working for you. It seems like it doesn't work for everyone.

Question
anybody with oily skin try it?
The description says that it's ideal for dry skin, but works for all skin types. How is that? I got a sample and now I'm afraid to make my face oily.

I think you'd be fine. I'm not sure how it works for different skin types but I have "combination" skin and this dries my skin, I usually have to apply lotion after using it.

I have sensitive, acne prone skin and it worked for me. It was not drying at all. My skin was smooth and soft after using. I bet you would have awesome results. Do a patch test and see if you like it. If you don't you can always return it.

Hi Melodyl,

Since everyone's skin is different, we recommend stopping by your local Sephora Store where one of our Cast Members will be able to make you a sample. The Boscia line is also great for clients with sensitive skin.

Is this product oil free?
I'm very prone to breakouts. I would love to try this product to see if it helps with my acne scarring, but I'm always afraid of trying anything that doesn't clearly state 'oil free'.

There is no oil listed in the ingredients on the box. The product does not feel oily to me either. The free sample box that I have does read, "for normal to dry skin types" though. For what it's worth, I have medication-controlled acne and this product has not caused problems for my skin.

Question
How does this compare to the Boscia Black Mask?

It doesn't. When I was in the store I asked how the black and white compared to each other and I was told the white was for aging skin. It was supposedly a firming mask that also bleached skin. I didn't see any of that. I was already a fan of the black mask, but being 40 and hearing the white was supposed to be better for my skin, I purchased it. It's not nearly as good as the black one. Buy the black.

This mask is much gentler than the black mask, so gentle it's impossible to peel off in 1 piece (but it will never ever hurt when you are peeling). It is also more hydrating than the black mask (my combo skin turned oily within minutes of taking it off, while my skin stayed clean/dry/matte when I took off the black mask so I can put on serum and stuff). However, the fume from the black mask stings my eyes and make it water, this mask is non-irritating

I have an incredibly fair complexion with a few light freckles. This has done wonders in decreasing the visibility of the freckles, but has not removed the tiny bit of summer color I've gotten from being outside this summer.

I have a deeper complexion and I can attest that this does NOT bleach your skin - at all! It lightens blemishes from acne scarring (why I got it). What does happen, though, is that any tanning on your face (from regular exposure to the sun in the summertime) will fade quicker.

Hello, I am a pharmacist, and yes its ok to use a facial mask, such as this one, if you use Retin A. Since retinoids can be drying, this type of mask, which provides a lot of moisture, can definitely be good. If your skin is ultra sensitive and the Retin A dries you out too much, to the point of skin irritation, I would not use this mask on the same night that you apply the Retin A, but would opt instead to give your face a breather for a day and then apply the mask another night. Hope that helps!

You can, just make sure you use an SPF of 30 during the day. The retin-a perscription you have makes you sensitive to the suns rays. The mask will not add to your photo-sensitivity.

Question
Peeling it off vs. washing it off
I have a hard time actually peeling the mask off - takes 20 minutes if I try to peel. Is there any downside to just washing it off instead?

In my personal experience, I've noticed that washing it off just did not offer the same visible benefits as peeling. Logic would dictate that the peeling draws out the impurities...sort of pulling gunk out of pores that are clogged. I always end up having to rinse around the very edges of my face with warm water, but to get a nice peel, the product needs to be applied liberally and evenly. Yep, it's pricey, but boy..is it worth the results after a few uses!

You do have to use alot of the mask to really cover your face with an amount that when you pull it off will pull off together, it does use alot but I think it is worth it. I had the same problem the first time then just used more to make it the same especially on the edges around your cheeks.

If you visit a store, all you have to do is ask! At my local store, a staffer was very kind to get a tiny container and fill it with this very product so I could try it before investing. If you can get to a store, you will love the service!
