this will remove shellac, or the china glaze gelish manicures from the salon, depends on how thick the polish is coated. It can take up to 15-20 minutes with the wraps for the polish to start to peel up

Yep--works well on home kits as well as salon manicures. Actually, the wraps were originally designed for professionals.

Yes--the wraps work well with any kind of gel polish. The OPI remover should work fine, but I've heard Shellac is pretty tough--you may need 100% acetone, but try the OPI remover first since it's not as harsh.

not quite reusable, the tape get stretched out on some. Nice thing is the polish doesn't come off on the remover pads.

You must use acetone - not regular polish remover. You can soak your fingertips, but acetone is very drying. The wraps help to minimize how much of your skin is exposed to the acetone.

Nail polish remover doesn't do the trick really. Break the seal of the top coat by buffing your nail with a regular nail file. I go right down until just a bit of the base coat is left. Then just soak your nails in pure acetone. You don't need to wrap it, just pour some acetone in a small glass bowl and soak them. Then scrape off the rest. The first step really saves your nail.

Is this basically acetone? What's it do to your nails/fingers?

I know this has to be basically acetone. I got a drop of acetone on a glove once and it melted an entire 'finger' off immediately. It made my nails feel even thinner and my fingertips turned white. Just how pleased are you with this product? Is it a hassle to get all the gel off or a breeze?

No, you need to supply the acetone yourself. This kit contains the wraps to hold the acetone on the nail, and the gloves. There is also a stick to help push the polish off.

Best way to get gel polish of your nails without doing too much damage is to first break the seal of the top coat with a regular buffing nail file. I usually go down until I take off all the colour. Then soak your nails in pure acetone for about a minute. The first step in the process saves your nails!
