Yes, it works like a shampoo. WIth that said, if you have dry or chemically treated hair (including color) I wouldn't use this product in place of shampoo. IF yor hair isn't treated, you're good to go, but be sure to use a great conditioner afterward.

Yes, this stuff works as a shampoo. It didn't work that well for my hair though. It felt like it dried out my scalp and made my hair flat.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the second ingredient in the ingredient list, yet the product is stated to be free of sulfates. Please explain.
