Question
why are so many pumps required?
why are so many pumps per wash required for this product? im contemplating buying it, but dont feel like being ripped off and kind of see the directions of "10-15 pumps" as a way to perpetuate excess, aka get customers ripped off. thoughts? does anyone actually use 10-15 pumps? anyone use less and notice good results?

Since it doesn't foam up very much, a lot of product is needed to spread it over your head and hair length . I have waist length , fine hair that has sun damaged ends. I find if I use 3-4 pumps on 1/4 of my head then add some water and rub it until it foams before I go to the next area I use a lot less product. I also use another conditioner on the ends (while I have the Wen on my head) because Wen doesn't make my ends soft enough on its own.

I have hair that goes down half way on my back. The first two times I used 12 pumps, but now I use 9 . I find I start off with 7 and if its not enough I try one more at a time. I wash my hair now every 4 days, it doesn't get dirty like before. After almost 2 months I am still on the trial box of wen. I love this stuff. Well worth the money.

yes you do have to use that many pumps wen dont foam so u need to use that many pumps to get the product well in to the hair if you use less i found that my hair was still in the oily side not the clean feeling with it was dry 10-15 pump is well enough for your hair to be clean and looks it best when dry,,, well worth it

That was one of the issues that made me hesitant to even try WEN. If I had to use that much I'd never be able to afford it. I have relatively short (below chin but above shoulder) length hair, that is on the thin side. I use one generous pump each for the top, back and each side, message them in as directed, pull it through and let it sit for about five minutes before rinsing. I then use a small pump as a leave in then spray with the mist before styling. This has worked beautifully for me, I love the products amd they are lasting a long time. If you have longer or thicker hair you might need more than me, but the recommended amounts are ridiculous in my opinion.

Question
does wen have anything for gray hair
I don't color my hair and do not want to, but it is very fine & limp. It needs more body & shine. It's as fine as corn silk. I put conditioner in it and leave it in and that gives it body but it is dull looking until I have hair spray or shine spray on it. I do not perm my hair. Any help would be appreciated!

Based on my experience the Wen products may serve you extremely well. I have very fine hair, and lots of it! Wen was able to tame my hair without weighing it down. I use the Anti-frizz Curl Creme, and have given my shine spray to a friend that has thinner, very fine hair. He LOVES it! Says it neither weighs his hair down, nor does it make it look/feel oily. He maintains an increased body, and receives complements everywhere he goes. Hope that helps!

I don't think they have anything particularly for grey hair, however I would try this out to help soften and hydrate your hair. It's a great product, and it does claim to help keep hair color looking its best. Many people aren't aware of this but if you go to www.chazdean.com he has a much larger selection for products, so you might find something there!! Hope that helped!

The larger bottle with the pump contains 'Conditioning Cleanser.' This replaces your shampoo and conditioner. You will no longer need two separate product to clean and condition. There is also an intense moisture treatment called 'Six Thirteen'. Both work extremely well.

The one bottle is called conditioner yet it does everything. This one bottle takes the place of separate shampoo and separate conditioner. I have frizzy curly dry damaged hair and this has made my hair feel smooth and soft. I use it only twice per week, but you can also use it every day. My curls stay nice for days.

Instructions say to comb through while conditioning, this works well. I do not comb my wet hair again after I'm through and when styling.

My hair is what you describe yours as. With each kid, I lost more and more hair and it became thinner and thinner. The fortunate thing is that the hair I lose does grow back but since using Wen, it no longer falls out. To also add in regards to the deep conditioning treatment, the packaging or Wen website doesn't say this, but you can do the treatment overnight wearing a shower cap to bed - you do still have to rinse out the next morning. Hope this helps!!

I typically have a lot of shedding and I have not noticed that it cuts down on that. However, it definitely helps with breakage due to dryness. It is very moisturizing so if you need something light to add volume to thin hair it may not be the best. I have thick, dry hair and I like it for the nourishment.

Question
Does WEN Make Your Hair Fall out?
I've been reading the reviews. Most of them are favorable; however, I see several where users have experienced significant hair loss. I'm a little concerned about this. My color treated hair is dry and damaged and I have a place in the back where it has broken off. This is probably from using a blow dryer and flat iron. I need a product that will correct the damage, not one that might cause my hair to fall out.

I've been using Wen for a while and I've never had any hair loss from it. If anything, I put another heavier conditiner on my ends and damaged parts on top of the Wen when I use it. If anything, Wen doesn't conditiner my ends enough but when combined with either wen conditioning tub or another conditiner,it works great! Just wish it wasn't so expensive!

Question
Not using Moist Intensive Hair Treatment ?
I have never used Wen. I clean my hair in the shower.

To remove the Hair Treatment after the recommended 20-minutes, would have to hop in the shower a second time. This is inconvenient and not happening. What purpose does the treatment serve, and what would eliminating it do ?

I always wash my hair in the shower. It is great. Start with washing your hair and then bathe. If you want to use the revitalize deep conditioner, just pick a time you are not going out immediatly and put it on in the shower , time it, then stick your head back in the shower to rinse. You will love it once you try it.

The treatment, in my opinion, is the star of the line. It makes your hair really soft, manageable, and shiny. I wash my hair first and then put it on before washing my face, body, shaving, etc so it has time to sit before rinsing. I don't know if I always leave it on 20 minutes, but the result is the same regardless.
