Does this auto ship like it does off the website?
I have been wanting to try this for a very long time but haven't been willing to commit to the auto ship through the actual website because I have heard so many horror stories about dying to cancel. I would alike to know if I can just order as I please through Sephora now.

How quickly will you go through this 16 oz bottle?
How quickly will this bottle be used up, using the number of pumps per use as per the directions? If I use 15+ pumps for my long, thick, coarse hair, and then repeat using half the amount (about 8+ pumps) as directed, every other day, would this 16 oz bottle last me more than 2 weeks?

I go through a bottle very very fast but I have very long thick hair past my mid back so I use about 40 pumps. ( I tried less but it didnt work the same) However I find it to be worth it and I only need to buy this and I use a clarifying shampoo in travel size once a month to prevent buildup so im still saving money in the long run

I have verrrry thick curly hair and i use 3-5 pups to wash(this is shampoo and conditioner)it doesnt lather (which is weird at first)....wash my hair, shower then get 1-3 pumps depending on hair length and run through hair and towel dry.....i usually air dry unless wearing curly and leaving quick (then i blowdry with diffuser)... or airdry, and wear curly then straighten the 2nd day.... It will depend how frequently you wash your hair and how much product you actually need. My favorite thing about wen is that I no longer have to wash my hair everyday, it made it much less greasy. I usually wash my hair 3 times a week now, and I used to have to everyday with regular shampoo.

Anyway, I have found (and so have many other people in the reviews) that you really don't have to use as much as it says you do in the directions. That's just kind of ridiculous. If you follow the directions, I doubt it would last very long at all. I have long, curly, hair and usually use 8-10 pumps per wash. (I do find that the rinse and repeat works best, using 4-5 pumps to wash and then rinsing and leaving 3-4 pumps in to soak). It took me almost two months to use the 16 ounce bottle.

Again, it will really depend on the amount of product used and how frequently you wash your hair.

Wen is a great product, however, it does contain silicone in the form of Amodimethicone. Although this type of silicone is supposed to be water soluble, it can cause build up. This build up can lead to clogged hair follicles which can cause the hair to fall out. It is important if you are experiencing hair loss with this product to use a good quality clarifying shampoo once a week or once bi-weekly. This should help remove any buildup on the hair shaft and clear the scalp of any clogging debris. Once this is incorporated into your hair care routine, the hair loss should decrease, however, if you are still experiencing an excessive amount of hair loss, you should discontinue use of the product. Another ingredient in Wen, Menthol, is actually a skin irritant. You may be having a reaction to this ingredient that is resulting in hair loss. One more thing to remember with Wen is that it contains protein. Protein is beneficial to the hair because it fills in the damage of porous weak hair making it harder which makes it stronger, however, some hair types are protein sensitive. If you are protein sensitive or your hair has a protein overload, it can cause the hair to harden to the point that it is breaking easily ( not from the root) making it appear that you are losing a lot of hair. Finding the right balance for your hair can be difficult. I believe that if you add a clarifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner (That doesn’t contain any proteins) to your routine with your Wen, you should get better results and less hair loss. BUT if this does not work, please keep in mind what I wrote earlier about a possible reaction. There is nothing you can do about that but to switch products. Good Luck!

When you normally shampoo your hair you probably do not stimulate your scalp enough to get out all of the hair that typically falls out. However, after about a week or 2 of use it should be reduced. We generally have a hair loss rate of 100 strands per day and all piled up can look like a lot more than there really is. Unless it is falling out by handfulls, I would try to stick with it because you should notice a differnce in your hair. Think of the inital few first washes as a "purge" kind of like the clarisonic. When you first start to use it you really break out, then your skin becomes clear and glowing in a couple of weeks.

When you comb through in the shower it should be a small amount to remove all the dead split ends, hair that would normally come out throughout the day. If you really feel that it is an excessive amount, i would stop using it. I have heard that some women find they are having a reaction to using it and have hair loss. if thats the case i wouldn't recommend using it.

I have short, fine, curly, color treated hair and Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner works wonderfully on my hair. Because my hair is short, I do not use as much product as recommended. I have been using WEN for nearly a year now and I am thrilled with the product. I wash my hair every day. Note also that with color-treated hair (red) my color lasts longer. I do not use any other cleansing or conditioning product along with the WEN. Just WEN!

The whole point of using a conditioning wash is to stop using a shampoo, as they strip the hair. Used correctly, a conditioning wash routine will leave your hair clean, soft, and frizz free without the need for shampoo. Unfortunately, Wen did not work well for me. You might check naturallycurly.com to learn more about co washing systems and whether one is right for you before you buy this product.

I, too, have an oily scalp with dry ends. I HAVE to cleanse my hair EVERY day, but I've been using WEN for 15 months. Follow the directions precisely for your hair length. If you don't use enough of the cleansing conditioner and don't leave it in long enough, then you may not get the results you want (i.e. you'll end up with that weighed down look). I know it seems counterproductive to use a cleansing conditioner on an oily scalp, but this works quite nicely for me.

i have the same type of hair... washed in the morning my scalp and bangs are oily by bedtime. wen did not make my hair oily. it probably lessened the amount of oil my scalp produces, but still not enough to get away with washing every other day (unless you spray a bunch of dry shampoo on it). it made my hair very manageable and soft. it's great!!

It wouldnt make your hair more oily at all. However i use to be able to go two days without washing before my hair /scalp got oily now i have to use it everyday. But, it depends on which smell you buy. The sweet mint, lavender allow me to go two days without. The pumpkin was kinda heavy. Its really a great product. I have never used a shampoo that made my hair, shiny , healthy, less breakable and actually make it grow faster. I love it. You should defiantly try.

My hair is oily if I wash it every day with regular shampoo. The less you wash your hair, the less oily it will become eventually- you just gotta get thru the rough period of yuckiness. That being said, I can imagine that this product would be VERY good for getting thru that period because you can wash every day for a little bit without stripping your hair. Regular shampooing every day is part of what makes your hair oily because your body thinks it needs to produce more oil to make up for the lack of oil. Then eventually start spacing out the washes to every other day/every couple days/etc. Your hair will thank you.

Question
will this make my hair greasy?
I have pretty thick and coarse hair thats naturally a bit wavy. Usually I skip a few days between washing my hair, I can usually stretch it to 3 days. I guess you could say that I have Asian hair and its colored red. I need something to preserve my color and keep it healthy, but I've heard on multiple accounts it makes your hair super greasy. As long as I follow the directions and wash the product out thoroughly will I be okay?

No grease here... My hair is coarse & thick, and I have tried many, many things... Wen is amazing. I'm not usually one to rave about such things.... As long as you don't leave too much in, you will not have a problem with any greasiness! I hike/walk/ride bike, one of the three every day. I go long distances. 5-10 miles hiking, same walking, 15-20 biking. I wash every other day, every day if hiking two days in a row to check for ticks. This gets my hair clean. You just have to use it properly. I suggest checking out my review on here, by just clicking on my sephora online nickname, or check out the intructional DVD. Can find the DVD on the quality value c-something channel or website, and likely the wen website. It'll get you clean though, if used right. When people say their hair is greasy, its cause they dont use it right. I know cause I did the exact same thing. Hated this stuff at first, but its cause I didnt use it right.

You can totally use this after working out hard. I am currently obsessed with P90X and do 2 workouts a day. I wash my hair after my last workout and blow it dry and wake up with amazing hair! The trick is to follow directions and use enough. Scrub into the scalp and then the ends and leave it on for 5 minutes at least. The great thing is you can wash your hair daily and your hair doesn't get dry or over worked. I've been using it for 2 years and won't ever use reg. shampoo again. If this formula isn't perfect for you try one of the other formulas. Chaz has 6 diff. kinds for all different needs. I switch out the different kinds for the seasons--more moisture, deeper cleaning, etc. Good stuff!

It depends on how often you use it, how much you use, etc. I have super long (mid-lower back), fine strands but a lot of them oily scalp normal to dry ends. A bottle lasts me one month to a month and a half using every other, sometimes every, day.

Why do you have to make sure you rinse it out really well if it can also be used at a leave in conditioner?
I want to try this, but the reviews are so hit or miss. It seems like a common problem is people don't rinse it all the way out in the shower. So if it has to be rinsed all the way out, how can it be good as a leave in? I just don't get how the system works.

You must rinse the product out well, as it rinses away all the grime you're trying to cleanse from your hair. Also, Wen works much better as a conditioning cleanser than a leave-in conditioner. If you use as a leave-in, I would recommend only applying it to the ends of your hair. Better yet, use a lighter leave-in conditioner. But as a conditioning cleanser, this stuff really can't be beat.

ya, i wouldn't leave any in. i can see how neglecting to rinse it all out of your hair (and off your skin around your hair line) can leave a greasy, residue-y feeling. it is honestly conditioning enough that you don't need a "leave in" conditioner. if you still want to use one, i would use a different product meant only to be used as a leave in conditioner. be sure you rinse all this out and you will be so pleased with how well it works.

The instructions on the bottle state that you can leave a little bit in if you want extra conditioning. So use as normal but don't rinse all of it out. Personally I like to rinse it all out because I think it feels like I have a residue on my hair if I leave it in.

Try Deva Curl products. I think you'll like them better for your hair. Particularly "The One" conditioner. I strongly recommend it :)

Yes, My hair is very dry as well and I use a flat iron or curling iron everyday. I also color my hair A LOT. But this has kept the color lasting longer and has restored moisture to my hair.
