Question
Is this oil free or non-comedegenic?
I have oily combination skin--I have always had to be picky about my skin products. This product sounds great, but I am wondering if it will make me break out.

It doesn't moisturize at all. Finishes almost powdery - you should be fine.

This product contains titanium dioxide. It's interesting that the picture listed on Sephora shows "UVA/UVB" on the bottle, but on my actual bottle that I purchased, it doesn't show that. So this product is not broad spectrum?

Thank you for the answer, I absolutely agree. I also already went to Sephora and read the ingredient list from the bottle. I was very disappointed to find out that it contains only titanium dioxide and no zink oxide, because titanium is NOT A BROAD SPECTRUM sunscreen, therefore I didn't buy it even though consistency of the product seemed very nice.

answer 3
The only active sunscreen ingredient in this sunscreen is Titanium Dioxide. Titanium Dioxide does not protect against long UVA rays which is why most mineral sunblocks combine zinc oxide with titanium oxide. Zinc Oxide blocks against both long and short UVA rays whereas Titanium Dioxide alone does not. With that being said, any sunscreen is better than none at all

I'd buy the lightest shade. My skin is light-warm, by no means the fairest skin type that could exist, and the lighest shade of the sunscreen matches my skin tone very well. In case you've used Clarins foundations before, I'm their shade Cream.

Although it does not state that it is fragrance free on the bottle, I have been using the product for over a month and I cannot detect a discernible scent. It just smells like what it is. It does not seem to have an added fragrance.

Having said that, when is a product really fragrance-free? It varies depending on the product, i.e., some products' components have much stronger scents than others.

I doubt my answer will help. Have you tried calling Sephora? They know everything!

Question
I got a broken product and don't know how to demand a refund
I ordered this product and got one last week. The problem is that the product was broken. I attached a file to show the condition.
I'd like to demand a refund, however, can not find any way to get a refund in Sephora webpage. What can I do?

I was surprised to see your question. One need never "demand" a refund with Sephora. If you bought the product you wish to return or exchange in a store, just bring it back to the store. If you got it online, look at your packing slip: there is a return label and easy to follow instructions. You can also return an online purchase to a store.

The first thing you might want to do is call their Customer Service toll-free number. You will speak to one of their knowledgeable, professional, and very nice customer service reps. He or she will answer any other questions you might have.

Sephora has NEVER asked me for a reason for a return or questioned me about a return. I have always been treated the same whether returning an item to Sephora or buying an item.

When you take care of this, if you haven't already done so, you will see that you were needlessly worried. Sephora is an excellent retailer who treats its customers like they were friends.

I also break out with Laura Mercier products and read that it may be the castor oil. In any case, I use the Clarins daily and do not break out at all.

I broke out with Laura Mercier too. This didn't break me out. I have dry skin and I also like Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer. I use this Clarins because of the high SPF.

I have UV Plus HP Day Screen but with no tint. I hope I can find this in Canada then I wouldn't need a tinted moisturizer on top of this. Does anyone know?

Question
does this sunscreen contain nanoparticles?
There is evidence to suggest nanoparticles can damage DNA and if inhaled or consumed, worst case scenario lead to cancer (animal studies).

Sunscreen only sits on top of the skin to block off damaging UV rays from the sun, you do not consume or inhale any of its ingredients. Nanoparticles could be any molecule of an ingredient that is very small (nano).

answer 2
The EWG (Environmental Working Group) has determined that nanoparticles that are contained in liquids (such as Clarins tinted sunscreen) do not pose a health risk as they cannot be inhaled. Watch out for spray on sunscreens that contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, those are the dangerous ones.

Trying to figure out what shade to order
Is the light really light? I have dark hair and tan easily. I would like to use it as a moisturizer under my make up and also just as a foundation if I am going to play tennis or just don't want to deal with full make-up. Any suggestions?

It sounds like it would probably work for you. I think the color of the light version of this tinted sunscreen is most similar to the Nars radiant creamy concealer in Biscuit (http://www.sephora.com/radiant-creamy-concealer-P377873?skuId=1478403). Hope it helps.

It is not hydrating enough to be used only as a moisturizer. The light version gives very little coverage for a natural finish if that is what you are looking for, but you will definitely need some form of a moisturizer underneath the sunscreen.
