Question
Scent?
Hi,
Can you tell me if this is scented? I have tried several Ojon products and the scent was so strange and unpleasant to me that I couldn't use the products!

Thanks!

I've had a similar experience with the other Ojon products - I could not stand the smell, even though I loved their effectiveness. But the scent of the Rare Blend Oil is totally different. It smells almost fruity.

It smells like Sandalwood to me and I personally feel like the scent is quite strong. While I enjoy the scent (spicy and woodsy) I think it's too strong for a hair care product that you leave in all day. I'll keep using it though probably.

I think it smells like a mixture between citrusy and nutty. If that makes sense. To me it isn't strong smelling, and when i smelled the bottle I noticed citrus and when i smelled my hair I thought it smelled like peanuts or something?

My hair is color-treated and I've been using this product for a couple of months now. It's been great on my hair, helps put back in some of the moisture that coloring strips out. My hairdresser said it's good to use some kind of oil in color-treat hair.

Question
Does This Cause Breakouts?
Just wondering if this has caused any of you to breakout? I got a sample of it and like the way it works on my long hair, but I recently started to get terrible acne at my chin and neck--I've never had this before! I'm going to stop using it to see if my skin goes back to normal, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this same issue?

I used to break out on my back after using Couture Colour's Pequi oil, but would use it every now and then because I liked how my hair looked.

That being said, I have yet to break out due to this product. I tend to break out uncannily easily, and had fears that this product would be no different.

Fingers crossed.

Hi, I also use the Pequi oil and I really love it. I bought this recently and it's quite different and I like them for different reasons and will probably continue to use both (I don't think one is a substitute for the other). The Rare Blend Oil is heavier. If you find the pequi oil isn't giving your hair the weight you would wish, this is a good one for you to try. I really like this because it give my hair that "haven't washed it for a few days" look where the pequi oil feels nice on my hair but doesn't add weight to it to tame frizz and flyaways. The Rare Blend has a stronger fragrance so make sure you like the smell before purchasing.

No the full ingredient list isn't anywhere online that I've found. I only saw it once I suspected the product containing silicone and went to Sephora to check. Looked at the full size product label, and low and behold, SILICONE! I had to stop using the product immediately because of the buildup.

Hope this helped!

YES! I avoid products with silicones like the plague and sadly I didn't read the ingredients because I trusted the packaging claiming to be natural...it turned my hair into a sticky, gross mess. At first, you will love it because the silicones are coating your hair, but after 8-10 uses your hair will probably freak out (if you are like me and avoid silicone usually).

Hope this helped!
