I have combination, but mostly oily skin. This Pomegranate Cleanser gets rid of the oils, but does not dry out my already dry areas. I would recommend this product without any hesitation.

No, you need something stronger. This cleanser is like washing your face with water only, it really does not help with my skin. You might want to try the regular cleanser from murad.

I also have oily/combo skin, and this works really well for me. The foam really gets in deep to your pores, and I've actually noticed a real reduction in the oiliness of my skin

For sure it will. This is a great product for all skin types. I use it in the summer and winter and during both those times my skin can go from one extreme to the other (dry to oily) and it works well in both.

Although Murad have great acne cleansers, this is GREAT for oily skin! Deep clean, I know it has witch hazel which is a natural exfoiliant. The foam covers the whole skin and the scent is fresh. So if you have oily skin but not acne, I reccommend this!

Is your skin just oily, or is it oily with lots of blemishes (breakouts/pimples/bumps)? You might want to consider the Clarifying Cleanser for the oiliness. If your skin also has a lot of blemishes, try the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 1-3 times a week. That's going to give your skin a deeper cleanse, without stripping it of its natural oils. Make sure also to use a good moisturizer - water-based. The moisturizer in the Murad acne line would probably suit your skin best. Although it seems contradictory to put moisture on oily skin, your skin needs it - if you "dry" out your skin, your skin starts to think it's lacking oil and will over-produce.

I think this would work best for oily skin. I have some serious dry spots and this was too drying for me but in my oily t-zone it worked great. I think you might be happy with it.

I'm not familiar with the Resurgence line, but if your skin is dry I'd suggest going with a cleanser that feels more milky than foamy. Foamy cleansers are usually geared towards more combination/oily skin types. Also, make sure to use a good moisturizer afterward. And you might want to consider adding a gentle exfoliant cleaner to your routine. Exfoliating away the dry, dead skin cells and then following with a good moisturizer will help your skin to remain hydrated and quenched.

Question
[Skincare]Does this help with acne/breakouts
[Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser]
I was just wondering if this helps with my pimple problems. And which is better: The Clarifying cleanser or this?
I do have a lot of pimples but they're tiny. Just a lot. All over my face (cheeks/forehead/chin). I have sensitive skin. Right now I'm using Skinfood's Parsley and Mandarin Wash but it dries out my face and makes me break out even more.
I did ask from Murad skincare (through e-mail). She recommended me this product but it's very hard to find it where I come from. Teh shop that has this have been out since 2 weeks ago. I was just wondering it the Clarifying cleanser is a good option and won't dry my skin.
And also, is the Pomegranate Moisturizer good for pimples too? i was thinking of buying these 2.

Definitely try this Pomegranate Cleanser. I found the Clarifying Cleanser to be very drying. For occasional breakouts I've used the Murad Clarifying Mask as a spot treatment! Really works! If I were to use it all over my face, I would use it as intended, meaning I would use it as a mask washing it off after ten minutes, but as a spot treatment, I would apply it before bed after washing with the Pomegranate Cleanser, and leave it on all night, washing it off as part of my morning regime. Please note that I've never used the moisurizer, but if your store will give you a sample, try it before buying it.

It sounds to me like you may be reacting to the very natural ingredients in your facial wash. I understand b/c my skin is very similar and I break out in tiny pimples when I use products with too many strong flower or plant ingredients. I think you should try Murad. I go between the pomegranite and the clarifying cleanser. I get a little too dry with the clarifying cleanser but it is excellent for keeping acne at bay (and I refuse to go on Accutane!) I also use the pomegranite mask. Great for shrinking pores, cleanng out black heads. I highly recommend that you try it. And, you have a guarantee with Sephora. If it does not work, return it! Good Luck

Actually I have been using this to remove my makeup in the evening and post work outs. I use the clarifying cleanser other times when I just want to refresh my acne prone skin. The great thing about Murad is that his products are non-comedogenic so the products won't clog your pores.

You should definitely use the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser a few times a week to address the pimples/oiliness. I use it about once a week when I feel like my skin is getting a build-up. The Clarifying Cleanser would probably be your best bet for a daily cleanser, since your skin is more on the oily side. But the AHA/BHA scrub is going to help give your skin a deeper cleanse.

The murad product line worked well for my acne. I think you should just use a very simple regimen and the murad acne complex line is just that. I would hold off on getting the pomegranate moisturizer until you get your skin in the condition that you want. Stay positive and drink plenty of water.

The best product for ane-prone skin is one that cleans the pores and kills bacteria, but leaves the skin soft and balances oil production. This foaming wash is great for removing makeup and as a basic gentle cleanser, but does not have the elements needed to remove acne. I hope this helped!! xoxo

I have acne and this cleanser seems to really help my skin out. My skin used to be kind of dull from the zits, but this cleared them out and added true radiance! But, in the first week of use, it makes acne worse (gets down in pores and forces everything out) so just be ready for that. The lotion that is in the same regimen as this is wonderful! It really is oil free! The only thing I don't love about the lotion is that it smells sunscreeny.

While I use other anti-acne products too, I notice that I break out more when I run out of or stop using this cleanser for several days. So I think it does help with acne some. And not too drying.

I think the Clarifiying cleanser is pretty strong. The Time release acne cleanser might be better for you if you have a lot of acne but not cystic.
This is really good at cleaning out your pores which will aid in preventing acne (has helped me). But it just depends upon the level of acne. I have sensitive skin and I do not find this overly drying.

If you're having problems with lots of breakouts I would reccommend the clarifying. While I generally use the pomegranate wash now, when I do have problems with my skin I always switch back to the clarifying until my face calms down. The pom moisturizer is great though! It's very hydrating!

I have sensitive skin and redness and this helped me. But everyone has a level of different sensitivities, I have a lot on my cheek area and it is fine. Sephora's return policy is fabulous so I would suggest trying it on a small area and see if it works. For me, the redness is gone and the soreness is gone and it clears my combination skin.

I have sensitive skin, and this product works well! Can't speak for all sensitive skin types, but I'd definitely recommend trying it. If you don't like how it feels you can always return it. :) But I've tried many cleansers (and most of the Murad ones too), and none of them leave my skin feeling as soft and smooth as this one. If this cleanser is too drying for your skin, I'd suggest the Redness Therapy Cleanser by Murad. It's a little more hydrating and gentle and made specifically for sensitive skin. Because I also have oiliness, the Pomegranate Cleanser works perfectly for me. Good luck! :)

How often should I use this product?
Is it okay for your skin to use this twice a day (morning and night)? I prefer washing twice a day. I have combination skin. Dry/flaky in some areas but also have a few breakouts and blackheads in my t-zone.

I've been using the product twice a day: it is gentle enough to use this often without dryness/redness occurring. Be sure to use the face cream after each use - it keeps your skin from being too dry without making it oily!

I too have extreme combo skin. My skin is really sensitive, and with other cleansers I can only use it every other day, but I use this every day. I haven't tried twice a day, but I imagine it would be fine if you're already using something else once a day. It's extremely gentle but still really effective, and it doesn't dry out the already dry parts.

Question
Can I Still Use Toner With This Cleanser?
I have just started trying the Vitalic Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser and I am wondering if I can still use a toner with it or if that would be too much. I have used Murad for 15 years and I love the products. I have used the Refreshing Cleanser and the Claryfing Cleanser and used toner with both of them. I would be use the Murad Hydrating Toner with this cleanser if it would not hurt to use it.

The Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser contains witch hazel so it cleanses and tones at the same time. You can opt to use the hydrating toner as well, however they both contain witch hazel, if your skin is oily/ combination I would recomend using the toner however if your skin is very dry it may be too much.
