Question
Is this product sweat-proof?
I'm going on a hiking/camping trip and am looking for a sunblock that is sweatproof but won't clog my pores. How does this one hold up?

Like any sunscreen, you do need to reapply. However, I hike a bunch and use this sunscreen - never have a problem with it sweating off right away or ending up in my eyes.

I don't know that it is completely sweat proof, but it is pretty good. I carry blotting papers when it is very humid. They seem to solve the problem.

No, it is not sweatproof. It needs to be reapplied. Sweatproof would clog my pores and cause acne.

I do not think that this product claims to be sweat proof. However, I used it on a rafting trip where water was splashing on me the whole day, and I did not have any problems with it.

I am in Calif on construction sites all day then into a hot car and on to the next. So far so good on staying put with no breakout. After much sweating, you might want to reapply as is oil free so I am sure will wash off a bit.

i usually don't use additional moisturizer under this. when it comes out, feels like a moisturizer and goes on dry (not drying your skin) but not oily i would say.

No, it will be enough on its own. However if you are applying it long after you applied moisturizer, it will not make you greasy or slimy.

Yes, you should use a moisturizer in addition to sunblock. However, PTR also makes a great moisturizer with SPF in it.

The Uber Dry Sunblock definitely has a dry feel once it is applied. I like this version better for my body. For me, when I applied it to my face (I have combination skin) it felt to dry & tight on my face. Maybe good for someone with very oily skin. Still love this and use it daily.

if you have oily skin, i would say use the uber dry, it doesn't make your face oily and make-up goes on great.

Uber dry is better for oily skin because it does not leave an oily residue on the skin (however it does not mattify)

The dry one would be best for oilier skin since it will not make you shiny.

I tried the uber light one and did not like it. It seems to put a layer on the surface of my skin which peels up when I apply make-up. The Ultra Lite doesn't do that, so I'm going back to it. Love the Ultra Lite.

Question
How does it compares to PTR Oil-Free Moisturizer? Acne-prone skin?
I just started using the PTR oil free moisturizer, as it had great reviews regarding acne-prone skin. I have normal to dry skin, with moderate acne, and I really like it so far. However, I also just bought the "help me" night treatment by philosophy, which has retinol, and because of that I might need to use something with sunscreen instead. Is there anyone who has also tried the PTR oil-free moisturizer and can tell me how they compare to each other? Thanks!
