Once on the skin, this cologne has absolutely no synthetic smell. I highly recommend it!

Not to me. everyone reacts differently to scent. . I like it so much I got some for myself a few years ago, and to my delight my new husband likes it on him, too. It's in the exotics family, like Shalimar and Opium for women, also exotics, but not synthetic and not overpowering, it's very polished and smooth. No harsh top note. Deepens and gets more subtle over time. No industrial-cleanser or cut grass smell. Think of very high quality Chinese tea, black & strong, not fruity, steeping in a cedar wood barrel with ambergris and fresh vanilla and a hint of saffron and burning oak leaves. Very sexy, very masculine. I'm so glad my husband likes it!
It's been rumored that some lots of this scent have changed. The way to test that is to keep some of good stuff and you will know it when you get the new bottle. Just return it. It happened to me one day. Smelt very different and I never wore it until I purchased the real stuff.

I don't find it synthetics at all. It blend real nicely with the scent of the skin.
no synthetic smell - very clean with pure notes - depends on body chemistry - i love all Armani for men and women

Nope! I have noticed that too though, if you go into a store and spray it on one of those paper things. It smells slightly different on everyone, but definitely doesn't get to that synthetic smell... I mean most guys shower often enough :)

No the cologne does not have a synthetic smell. Perhaps the paper you sprayed the scent on had a previous scent sprayed on it? On the skin, it definitely smells woodsy-exactly how a man should smell.
