Instead of skipping days, try diluting it so it doesn't dry out your skin so much. I haven't had any problems since I started doing this.

This cleanse has been great in the following way: I have these clear acne like bumps around my hair line on my forehead, and the combination of the Clarisonic and the cleanser literally erased them! But, using it all over my face made my horribly dry. My solution is to use this cleanser daily but only on my problem area (forehead), and then for the rest of my face I use a cleanser more suitable for my normal skin. I like to experiment with different cleansers, but right now I'm using Dior Foaming Cleanser. It's really creamy and completely cleans the skin. Check out the reviews or try a sample at Sephora. I think you will find that the combination of these two may be just the recipe you are looking for! ;)

Try the Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging formula...the orange one without the exfoliating beads. Also try his Cucumber Mask to soothe your skin if you've gotten too tight and dry.

I like to use PTR glycolic at night with my Clarsonic and use Philosophy Microdelivery in the morning. Using PTR glycolic twice a day irritated my skin. I used to use PTR anti-aging formula twice a day without issues, and may return to that once this bottle is gone (only had it for 2 weeks).

Have you tried Cetaphil? I use that on my "off" days.

I'm think it would work fine with a Clarisonic, however, I don't see my acne scars improving.

I use it with Clarisonic and it works well. I put the wash on my face and start to get it foamed up , then I continue with the Clarisonic brush. It really works well, I like it much better than the cleanser that came with the brush.

I use this with my Clarisonic and love it! It leaves my skin feeling smoother. Plus the breakouts I've recently been dealing with are starting to go away which is a plus! I also think my pores are looking smaller. (glycolic acid is good for exfoliation and getting out the gunk) Good luck!

YES! Removes makeup much better than other cleansers I have noticed! When you wash with it i can see all of my foundation or bronzer come off in the water!

Yes, this product takes off almost all of my makeup. The only thing it doesn't get off is my waterproof mascara, but I think that is the case with most waterproof mascaras. Be careful when taking off eye makeup, though. It does sting if you get it in your eyes because of the glycolic acid.

I have oily skin with the occasional breakout as well. I found that using this face wash at night with my Clarisonic and applying Clinique Youth Surge Night Age Decelerating Moisture for Combination Oily to Oily Skin really helped balance my skin out and clear up acne. I really also like Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3, it's a toner for oily combination skin. This toner keeps my skin from looking oily throughout the day and I love it with any daytime moisturizer. I currently only use the facial wash, but I'm in the process of adding in the moisturizor as well. When you first start using the facial wash it can make your skin very dry, so you might want to add in each of the products at different times. Starting out with the facial wash then adding in another product after a few weeks might help your skin get used to one product before it is exposed to another.

I do use it before I apply a retinol product (by SkinMedica) but I don't use the cleanser everyday. I like to vary my regimen from day to day.

I actually use this with Philosophy Help Me. It seems to be helping with the cell turnover. My skin has reacted quite well. (Oily)

I definitley wouldn't use salicylic acid. That's what I was doing before and my oily skin turned into combination oily/dry skin which sucked big time. I use this cleanser with a sensitive skin toner and moisterizer and my face has cleared up. The glycolic acid should be sufficient. You should also make it a point to exfoliate at least once a week, or purchase one of sephoras Face Complexion Brushes and use that with your cleasner every other day, that's what I do. This is what helps your skin glow and rid it of scars/dark spots quickly, which will at the same time also help with the acne. Hope I helped :)

One word....no. I would NOT recommend using this with any other treatment, it would be too drying. I've used this for a couple months now, and its drying even though i have oily/combination skin. This clears up scars and acne, but make sure you put on sunscreen before you head out the door, use a really good moisturizer after washing, and do not scrub hard. This face wash is strong and i wouldn't recommend using it more than twice daily.

this did not cause "purging" like a salicylic does for me. It also did not seem to irritate my skin further or make it itchy like a salicylic does. I think everyone is different on which works better but for me this is it. The glycolic acid also seems to do a better job of fading old acne marks as compared to salicylic, hope that helps!

Sorry, I can't answer that question. My skin is sensitive and I am going thru menopause and having some issues. I don't use this product everyday, only 3-4 times per week but so far I like what I am experiencing. I'm not sure what you mean by "roughness".

As bad as it sounds, I just use a gentle face soap for my morning face wash, and I use the PTR Glycolic Acid wash at night. I don't want to dry out my skin and I don't want to use the PTR moisturizer twice a day (as I can't afford to do it!) - seems to be working alright for me.

Hi there, I hade the same issue and did not like the anti aging cleanser. I do love the glocolic wash though. It did not dry out my skin and did not cause any breakouts or reations for my sensitive skin. Comporable to the sensitive skin wash in my opinion.
