It is not oil free, you can view the list of ingredients here:
Water, Glycolic Acid, Arginine, Whole Leaf Aloe Vera, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Safflower Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Dimethicone, Squalane, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Micellized Vitamin A, Micellized Vitamin E, Oleth-2, Polysorbate 20, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium Edta, Diazolidinyl Urea.
I'm not sure if it's oil-free, but if you're afraid of breakouts, I can assure you that my skin breaks out really easily and so far, I've had no breakouts while using this. In fact, it is quite the opposite. It has cleared up my skin faster than any other product I have used. However, I must disclose that I am using the Laser-Free Resurfacer in conjunction with this product. It is fantastic!

If there are oils it is not at all greasy. I use this product as a daytime moisturizer with ID mineral powder foundation and my skin looks dewy and fresh. I get more compliments on my skin now in my 50's than I did in my 20's. Weird but real nice to hear.
