I put mine in the dryer and have not had problems.

it stays in while standing, but i would imagine it would fall out during sleep. it would fall off if i tried to put a shirt on over it, for example.

Lean forward at the waist, letting your head hang upside down. Let all your hair fall forward. Cover your head with the turban, tucking your ends inside the towel at the front. Twist the front end of the towel closed, stand up, and take the twisted end toward the back of you head and hook the eye around the button.

There are a few sizes, one for long hair and one for short hair.

my daughter is 11. It is much simpler to us than the turbie twist because it has a nice big button right in the front. I could ever get the turbie twist to stay and I never knew if I had it on upside down or not. This only goes on one right way yet it is the same concept. However, the materials are much lighter and much more absorpbent. It is a much better product. I would pathe $20 and try it for your 8 year old. She will love it. The worst case scenario is that she doesn't and you will.

I also have hair that goes down to my hips & I have had no problem with my length fitting into the turban!! Try it & you will see.

I sleep with the hair turban on several nights a week. I have long, wavy hair that I wash at night, and due to my schedule I usually go to bed right afterwards. I bought the hair turban so I didn't have to sleep with wet hair. The turban is wonderful. Its light weight, comfortable, and so absorbent that the water never soaks through to my pillow cases. One downfall: sleeping with the turban on causes my hair to be relentlessly frizzy the next day.

I have noticed some improvement in my frizz and fly-aways since using this product. I'm not sure whether it is due to the use of the turban, or whether it's because I've needed to cut down on the amount of time I spend using heat to dry my hair. Either way, the turban has been responsible.

I don't know what you consider long long, mine is down to my behind and I have no problem with this. Bend over like you do to brush your hair. The turban is like a pod or sac. One end is wider with a Button, then there's a very long narrow end with a loop on the end. The larger end with the button will go against the back of head/neck region. Once there place hair inside the 'sac' then just twist the turban like a towel twist, then bring your head up and button it.
If your hair is too much for you to work with, try putting your hair in first, then onto your head, twist and button. I don't know if it will work this way, it is just a suggestion. I hope this helps.
