Inner rim of eyelid
How does this work on the inner-rim of the eyelid? Does it stay on all day in that area?

I do love this pencil - it's creamy and applies great - HOWEVER, It does poorly on my inner rim. The color doesn't show up as intense and it fades quickly.

If you're looking for a good inner rim liner I highly recommend Smashbox Jet Set Liner. It glides on effortlessly, the color is intense, it stays put all day without wearing away and it makes your eyes pop!

I would not use this pencil on the inner eye / waterline. It is very hard to get off and would need some eye makeup remover and some rubbing to get it off. This would cause major eye irritation.

This doesn't last one my waterline. It shows up, but after a little while it starts to fade. If you want something fantastic to line your waterline with, I highly recommend the Guerlain eye kohl. It looks a bit frightening, but once you get the application with a stylus down it's amazing. I hope this helps!

Aqua Eyes is a waterproof eye pencil and is gel based rather than a traditional pencil. It is creamy and goes on smoothly, but does need to set-up for a few seconds to become waterproof and smudge proof. If your eye rims do not "tear up" or "water" when you apply you'll be fine.

It definitely is safe to use on the inner rim, waterline, of the eyes. Dany created both her eyeliners and lipliners that way. Due to the creative nature of her work, both products can be used interchangeably. It most definitely stays all day!!!! I also love Smashbox Jet Set liners!

I always use the eyeliner inside my lashline, but it does wear off slightly after awhile so if you want your eyeliner to look really heavy keep it with you for touch ups.

Actually no. It stays better than any other line I have had, and it stays in my top inner rim fine, but the wet bottom inner rim wears away a bit over the day. Stays perfectly just above and at my lash line though.

I have oily-combination skin. A product I love is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer "Potion". You'll never see it and your eye makeup lasts all day.

My suggestion for colour would be anything almost - blue, green purple -- you'd be surprised what you can get away with.

Make Up Forever's Aqua Eyes liner stays on pretty well. They have a good selection of colors however you might have to test out the greens as some may be too bright for what your looking for. Another great thing is that you can blend them in with a brush to mute out some of the color or even use it as a shadow.

Hi, I love this product. I am 59 also and find Make Up For Ever to do wonders for me. It stays and stays. I apply it right up to my lash line so it doesn't look like I have on too much. I would suggest the green with the bronze in it, the purple black, and black is always a good one if you want drama. Sometimes I use the darker blue pencel also. Good luck!

I have blue-grey eyes and dark blonde hair with light skin/ a "cool" complexion and I don't think that brown looks very flattering on me. Black sounds like it would be too dark on you.
I would try either the goldish color, a navy blue, or a grey. Because you have green in your eyes, a green might look nice too.

I would try a blue or even teal. With black/brown mascara. The liner with the color of your eyes will show off the color of your eyes. Also, try just a thin line smugged under the eye for effect in the evening.

First you will need to invest in a good eyepencil sharpener that will do for standerd size pencils. I use my Mary kay eyeliner sharpener and it works great fof everything. If you want to get a sharpener on the site than go for Urban Decays Grind House eyeliner sharpener.

Buying pencil sharpeners is a little like playing russian roulette. So quit guessing and try Tarte's pencil sharpener. I bought it specificlly for this sharpener and it works great. It's also self-contained- so the shavings don't go everywhere. And get this- it's only two bucks!

Not exactly, because when I put it on my lower lids its runs like after 5 hours and when i rub it with water it comes off. The weird thing is that when the girl at sephora did the test on my hand it wouldn't come off even with water.. totally don't get it because I need it to stay on my lower rims but doesn't.

This is the most stay proof pencil eyeliner I've ever used. It is waterproof. As long as you don't rub your eyes in the pool or when you come, it will stay on. You will need to use eye make-up remover or a very creamy cleanser and cotton to remove.

While I can't say whether or not the manufacturer would say it is "safe" for the inner rim of the eye, I have used it for this and had no problems. As with any other eyeliner, you must keep it clean and sharpen often and do not share with anyone- not even your BFF. This is the only way to ensure that it is "safe."

I use this on my waterline with pretty good results so far. Lasts longer than most eyeliners I've tried inc. MAC khol, Lancome khol, even Urban Decay Glide On for me. I ALWAYS wipe/blot my waterline first because the actual name for the waterline is meibomian glands. Of all things, the waterline produces sebum (an oily substance) which is why the line is naturally oily. I know that I shouldn't be covering the waterline with makeup, but I suppose vanity is a factor here. The waterline has specific "duties" to protect the eye. And that's why many ophthalmologists would cringe at us doing this. I have read some liners where it said ophthalmology tested, but for exactly what part of the eyelid? If you notice getting stye eyes, chalazions, or infections along the waterline and you do line them, I'd discontinue lining that area altogether. For what it's worth....

for hazel, a lot of colors work

black, always classic/classy
deep blues
deep greens,
deep browns
golds/metallics

and if you are daring, try a rich purple. that would be really pretty for an evening look.

pretty much any color found in your eyes will work.

hope that helped!
