Personally, I have not had any problems with this product staining clothing. This is a salicylic acid-based acne treatment, and the ones that generally cause problems are the benzoyl peroxide-based treatments. Those treatments, while effective, have been known to bleach the pigment right out of any clothing they contact. You should be perfectly safe with this one though! If you are still worried, try doing an application before you go to bed, and wear an old t-shirt that you would not mind getting stained/bleached. Good luck!

Yes, I have broken out when I'm not compliant with using it. However, the break out isn't like a revengeful come back for not being compliant. It's nothing worse than what you had before using it. I can go 1-2 days without spraying without too much regret.

answer 6
I don't think I breakout anymore than usual if I stop using it. I use this spray every other day, sometimes three times a week. Just a light spray is all I use to conserve this expensive product. The problem that people make with this spray is using too much which causes two things to happen....1) it empties much faster and 2) it dries out your skin which is bad for acne because even acne-prone skin needs a moisturizer. I recommend using it and letting it dry before applying body lotion.

Personally, I noticed that the size and redness of my existing blemishes was reduced after just two applications (once a day). I am still inside the first week, but I definitely notice a difference. If your breakouts are in the moderate-severe range, I would recommend starting out with two applications a day. If that starts to dry your skin too much, then just reduce it to once a day.

answer 6
That's a hard question to answer and I'm sure it varies from person-to-person. I'd use it once every other day. Don't use too much or your skin will dry out. Also, try using a moisturizer on your chest if you haven't done so already. Acne-prone skin still needs moisturizer. Drying your skin out will have the opposite effect and cause more acne because your skin will think it needs to produce more sebum (oil).

I don't think I'd apply this to the face. Murad makes other products specifically for the face. If you were to spray some of the body spray onto a Q-tip, then I suppose you could apply it to a blemish. It would probably do what you needed it to. A better option would be to look into the rest of Murad's line. I just started using the Active Radiance from their Essential C line and OMG! It is amazing! I had a large amount of breakouts - kind of unusual for me - and I started to apply the Active Radiance at night. Within 3 days almost every blemish is gone! Good stuff!

Does this product also reduce the post dark spots from back acne?
I have many many many many dark spots and blemishes on my back that are like dark brown, and I was wondering, does this product reduce those too, or not? Hopefully this will be a miracle product for me which I'm going to buy tomorrow, and it will stop the acne I get on my upper back, shoulders, and chest, which I've been battleling for over 2 years now. Please, could you answer this question ASAP, and if the answer is no, then tell me what I can use that will effectively get rid of the post dark spots I get on my back from back acne FAST! I found it did help fade my spots. I once asked a dermatologist the best way to clear up scar spots and his reply was the only way to do so is to replace the top layers of skin with new skin..so that would mean using methods like acid peels or dermabrasion (sp?) for very dark/deep spots. If you have more time then natural fade products like BioOil, Argan Oil.

Tanning is also helps buy darkening all of the skin and hoping everything blends better. Good luck!

This product hasn't reduced or lightened any dark spots, post-acne marks or acne scarring, however it cleared my back, shoulders and chest breakout up in about a week. I love Murad products and they have a lightening product that may work for your dark spots - Murad Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel. I haven't tried it yet myself, but my aesthetician recommended it for my acne scars.

I use both and have noticed that the spray seems to be the more potent of the two. For instance, only using the scrub for a week after having a breakout produces limited results, but I start to see significant improvements after just a few days using the spray. I have had no issues with odor or staining of the clothes. My skin is rather sensitive too but this seems to be doing its job so far. I usually spray it on after my shower and give it a minute or two to air dry before dressing- sometimes it's still wet on my back but it hasn't ruined any clothing for me. I've been amazing at how well it cleared my back up.

It took about a month to keep breakouts away, but this stuff really works well and I'm about to start my second bottle. I've battled with bad/sensitive/dry skin for over half my life, and this stuff has been amazing! It doesn't stain or bleach. Give it a bit to dry before dressing, but it isn't sticky or anything either. I started out using it twice a day, but I'm down to once in the first month of use, and am happy with the results. Combined with the body wash, it's a great set of products! Give it a month!

I used this product for the same reasons. I only used it at night and wore old t-shirts when I used it for fear of staining. I had it discolor one navy shirt, but luckily it was a very old shirt that I only slept in. A lot of products like this can cause a sensitivity to sunligh (i.e. you'll burn easily!). I didn't want to risk that so I only applied it at night!
