Depending on how you clean your brush and with what you clean it with will affect the bristles. Make sure to always use warm water, I use Quo brush cleaner, but baby shampoo works as well (which is cheaper as they're larger amounts). I wash my brush by holding it against one hand, placing the cleaning solution on the bristles, wetting it a bit, then massaging it gently with my thumb. You'll know it's clean when the bristles become white again, or as close to depending on how long makeup has been on it.
Lastly, the drying process is important, make sure you don't TUG at the bristles at all, pat it dry once or twice between a towel and then lay it down on a face cloth/towel overnight or a few hours to air dry.
That's my process and any shedding is minimal to none. I've had my brush for over 1.5 years and use it everyday!

I use a spray and then just wipe the brush back and forth on a soft cloth. Then I wash with shampoo and dry it closed then lay it flat. If it's shedding its either defective or time to get a new one!

The same thing happen to me with all of my Sephora brushes. the glue just must not be very strong. make sure that you dry your brushes upside down after washing them if you aren't already doing that. that should help a little bit. :)

Have you tried using the brush cleaner in a spray bottle? I didn't wash this brush by hand and water with soap because I didn't wanna pull out the hairs by accident. I use the spray to clean my brushes. It could help with the reshaping of the brush because you clean it by wiping on a clean towel and let it air dry by putting it up not laying it down. When you clean it brush it with a little pressure on the clean towel to kinda reshape it back. Hope this helps.

I have had this problem happen too. What I recommend doing to your brushes is once you wash your brushes, immediately hang your brushes upside-down with clothespins and use a brush guard. If you don't have brush guards, just use tape and wrap it around with the adhesive showing towards you and let it dry. This worked for mine, so I hope it works for yours!! <3
