Question
Tube full of air?
There seemed to be so much air in the tube when i bought it today, and veeeeerry little product! i even compared it to the ounce size of other products i have and there doesnt seem to be much in here. Were your tubes puffed up with air when you bought them?

It's SUPPOSED to have air in the tube! The consistency is VERY THICK & the air in the tube is to use pressure from the air in the tube to help push the product out when you squeeze it out. Notice that it's NOT made to be able to pull in air from outside of the tube. Lot's of liquid type concealers in tubes are filled completely because it dispenses easily. I agree the packaging could be improved.such as a dispenser pump. Maybe it's NOT in little jars because the product may not do well exposed to air that's NOT already in the tube?

Yes, mine was exactly that way! I was so annoyed that I returned it. Getting the product out of such a misleading tube was difficult enough that there was no way I was going to use it every day.

Don't have an answer to this, only a reply that the same thing happened to me (just bought this about a week ago) and I am really disappointed to hear I'm not the only one..I hoped mine was random. I think it is a great product but not worth the price for how low it is filled.

Mine had a lot of air in it too. I thought the same thing you did. Then i realised how much I use on a daily basis. I dont use much, maybe a pin head for my whole face. Ive had this concealer for at least six months, probably longer. I have not even begun to make a dent in it. Ive still got at least 9/10 of the tube left. It is worth it, the price for the amount. I use it as a concealer for redness, under the eye (in conjunction with dark circle defense by tarte for my severe under eye circles), on pimples/spots, pigmentation issues, scarring, etc. My mom also uses this. She uses it as a foundation five days a week. She has had her tube for 3 months and has at least half left. It will last and its worth it.

Under eye coverage
I bought this a couple of weeks ago but this doesn't cover my dark under eye circles - do you need to layer a lot on? Or, do anything different? Everybody says it covers well but I just haven't found that. Thanks for your tips!

I have very dark circles. I used Dermablend for years; but it is so heavy & cakey. Some people say this is too oily but I find this consistency creases less than all the concealers I've used. However, I do use a corrector on the darkest part of my under eye, let it set, then gently tap on the product with a fluffy angled brush.

I found that this concealer works best if I pat on a little foundation first - I use Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15. Then I put on the concealer and my under eye area is much brighter. Hope this works for you!

i would suggest putting on a little bit blend it well and then put on your foundation. if still not enough coverage after that then put on a little bit more and blend it well b/c you dont want to end up with the opposite of raccoon eyes. if that does work then maybe you need to find another color or brand.

If you apply it with your finger and then blend with a brush...I have found this to work for me and I have very dark circles. You may have the wrong shade. I normally use medium but I had to get this product in fair. Hope this helps.

If I am super tired and the bags under my eyes are extra dark I use a TINY amount, put it on (but using the dabbing technique that tarte recommends is vital) and I build up layers as needed and it lasts all day. People think I actually got rest! :)

I find this concealer is thicker than other types so to lay it on evenly, I first put a layer of cream which ends up diluting it nicely.

I found that they all run a little more pink. I think the Light was the most yellow. I am not super fair, but I remember noticing that one looking the pinkest. I have olive skin and desperately search for makeup without so much pink. I use the Medium and mix it with luminizing liquid to tone down the color and it works pretty amazingly for me. Cuts the pinker tones right out.

I too have very dark circles. This product has been by far the best I've tried...and I've tried A LOT. The trick is to find the right shade and how you apply it. I normally wear medium but got this in fair. So do not go by what you normally wear...you should really try it out before you buy. Apply it by patting it under your eyes with a finger and blend out with a brush. You do not need a lot. If you want more coverage just keep doing these two steps by applying a touch more concealer. Hope this helps!

There is no number but if you look on the back, in black letters it says "medium" or "fair" or whichever tone it is. It's right under that gold rectangle at the top. You might have to hold it to the light since the tube is dark purple.

Half Empty Tube
This is my second time purchasing the Tarte concealer and I noticed that in this tube its half air and half concealer. VERY VERY disappointing, has anyone else noticed this or was mine the only one? I just purchased this two weeks ago and it seems like it will only last me 2 to 3 more weeks on a daily use. WTH??

Mine lasts for a long time, because of the texture you have to really push the concealer out of the tube, I believe in no waste, so when you feel you can't push any more, cut the tube in half, and scrape out from each side. I put all the remainder in those little Sephora containers. You get tons out!!

I haven't experienced that at all with my tube of concealer. Ask at Sephora about it; perhaps you got a faulty tube. I'm sure they'll either refund or replace. As for how long it lasts, you only need use a little of the product for it to work. Are you using too much of it?

Question
Foundation Before/After + Setting Powder?
When I apply Maracuja Creaseless Concealer it's kind of sticky-tacky.

Is is best to apply before or after foundation? Since it's tacky, how are you applying foundation on top of it?

Or, do you just use the concealer, don't apply foundation & use a setting powder on top to smooth out the sticky texture that just sits on skin?

I use it after my foundation, or after the tarte corrector. I use a brush to apply, but use the same dabbing motion i would use with my finger, but with a small kabuki style brush. I have used it with a damp mini beauty blender as well, but is easier with the brush. I do not have any issues with blending even tho it is more cream consistency.

I apply under eye cream, let it dry a bit, then apply my medium Tarte concealer. I then apply medium Tarte foundation, and then brush Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder on my face, and I don't need to touch up for approx. 8-10 hours! Note: I only use foundation in the winter, I feel the Tarte concealer does the whole job by itself.

I use this for under eye concealer and highlighting for contouring. I don't think that this would be good for concealing spots because of the way it sits on the skin. It might make spots look cakey if you are one to pack concealer on spots when it doesn't cover enough.
