Question
on a clear day?
Does this system replace Philosophy's "on a clear day"? If so, is it as safe on sensitive skin? I have very sensitive skin and the on a clear day line were the only products that kept my skin clear. I'm hoping this new line will do the same!

I just spoke to someone at Sephora Customer Service, and she said this is a brand-new line from Philosophy and will replace the On A Clear Day line. She said it should be formulated the same as the last line, but suggested buying the trial kit first so you can sample all the products and make sure they work the same way for you.

You should cleanse then use the pads or spot treatment then the moisturizer. Let the products dry before putting the next and before applying cosmetics. If you are using the pads and spot treatment at the same time do the pads first. And yes the pads are to be used on the entire face. If you have other troubled areas such as neck and chest, they can also be used there as well.

You use the cleanser and moisturizer in the morning and cleanser and pad at night. I rub the pad over my face two or three times. I also use this system only at night. I use purity made simple in the morning.

I use the cleanser 2x a day while broken out and once a day in between breakouts. I only use the pads at night after cleansing and toning, but before moisturizing. I wait until the pads have dried on my face before I add my moisturizer. I only use this moisturizer on my problem areas, both day and night. Follow with spot treatment before bed.

When I use the pads, I like to use small circles around my face until the pad starts to feel a bit dry. That way I don't waste any of the product.

Yes, I used it with the Mia. I love my Clarisonic...but this cleanser not so much. The formula is too strong and drying for my skin, I would only recommend this to people with acne.

I like Philosophy much better. The benzoyl peroxide in Clinique always bleached my pillowcases, which annoyed me. Philosophy made my skin softer, smells good, and gave me results much faster than Clinique ever did.

I worked for Clinique for a long time. This product is far superior in my opinion. It's gentler, no toner, and more effective. 3 step technically requires you use a pre-wash soap too before you even use your 3 step system to remove your makeup which to me is ridiculous. Too many steps!
I love the subtle citrus fragrance of the philosophy line. But what I love most is my clear skin. I still struggled with the same hormonal breakouts on the 3 step system, but not with this. AND when I do get a small zit it clears it right up.
I found 3 step to be way to drying personally. This leaves my skin healthy and glowing.

I've used the Clinique Acne system. It's not as strong or effective. Clinique worked when I had much milder acne. The Philosophy is much stronger for a more aggressive blemish issue.

I don't exactly have Kate Sommerville's blemish kit but recently started using her Anti-Bac lotion (which contains benzoyl peroxide vs. salicylic acid) & Clarifying Toner. I think Kate's stuff are less irritating. I'm opting to use a super mild cleanser (FAB) to avoid fragrance as much as possible.

I like Kate Somerville but Clear Days in my opinion just seems to work better. I do still use the Kate Sommerville exfoliant, but have had better results with Clear Days.

I would love to try this line in hopes that it's what I need. However, I absolutely need SPF during the day. I don't see that the moisturizer includes it, so can anyone recommend a non-oily SPF to use with these products? Thanks.

This kit didn't work for me to help clear up my acne. But to answer your question about the sunscreen, you should definitely try MURAD OIl Mattifier SPF 15. Works so well with controlling oil and mattifying your skin!
