this is exactly what i'm doing! but it's better to use it before moisturizer or as a substitute to a moisturizer in the evening, because it makes your face look a bit shiny

I would say it depends on your skin. I have oily skin and this works great as a moisturizer, but if you have dry skin you might like some extra moisture. I use this after toner.

Definitely use this after toning. This has a very lightweight moisturizer built in, so you may be able to get away with not using your usual moisturizer, but try it and see.

if you have very oily skin you can use just this as your moisturizer, if not yes, but this is meant to just be a moisturizer, so you might find some other products that could work better for your skin routine.

Question
Will I break out from this?
I used it all over my face for the first time yesterday to see if I'd have a reaction and I did see a few minor pimples come to surface but I don't know if it was the lotion or just my skin. I'm already using a 2% salicylic acid face wash so would this be too much? I debating on returning it for something that doesn't have salicylic acid.

To me - it is not mattifying at all. I would say it's a little dewy after a few hours on the skin.

answer 2
It makes for a GREAT primer as it not only leaves your skin feeling like velvet at matte, but absorbs oil throughout the day. I prefer using this as a primer over Urban Decay & other primers for sure.

answer 3
I use it daily - I feel that is helps keep my face from breaking out but I don't really think it works as a "mattifier" - I have used other products that I think work better to keep "shine" down.

redness goes away pretty much during 1 night, but you will see a really good result within 2 weeks. Skin is so smooth, and no breakouts! Doesn't help against comedones though...

answer 2
I started using this with my clarisonic pro, so I'm not sure it can solely be attributed to this, but I'd say in a week or two...plus I've had less break outs over all since and the break outs I get don't last as long.

I didn't find that this product was drying. I have very oily skin. After applying this product, I need to use the blotting paper after 5 or 10 minutes to take away the shine.

I have very dry skin with acne rosacea. This works well without drying out my skin and I have even been able to reduce my Rx treatment to 1x a day. I use it in the a.m. before applying a tinted moisturizer.

I have oily/combination skin- I use it all over on my face once a day and I don't think it is drying at all. I feel it is pretty mild but if used regularly- works to keep pimples away.

According to www.paulaschoice.com is has a pH of 3.6. The pH is low enough for the salicylic acid to work as an exfoliator but not so low as to be irritating.

Question
Compare to Hope in a Bottle?
I used to use Hope in a Bottle (which is no longer made). I have tried other products, but nothing is working the same yet. I noticed this recently and wondered how Clear Days Ahead compares to the older Hope in a Bottle. Has anyone tired both products?

Well, this is a little different. This won't cause build up of milieus, hard white bumps under the skin that can only be removed by extraction. My suggestion would be to look at the Dr Brandt's line of moisturizers. My suggestion… used his DNA triple peptide eye cream around eyes of course, then use DNA time reversing cream all over face and neck, then his DNA transforming pearl serum. Sounds like a lot… but this regime is amazing… your face will feel and look fantastic.

Question
When to use?
My aesthetician has told me to follow a basic skincare routine that starts with cleansing, then toning, then applying serum and finally moisturizer. Would I use this after serum as my main moisturizer? Or should I use this before my serum as it is considered an exfoliant and then use a different moisturizer after my serum?

I have an oily/acne T zone and combination skin. I use serum all over my face first because it says on the bottle to use it before moisturizing and I want those good vitamins everywhere. Id suggest the serum first for you. Then I use the oil free moisturizer on my T zone only because I want that salicylic acid where I break out. I then put SPF tinted moisturizer all over my face.
