this is exactly what i'm doing! but it's better to use it before moisturizer or as a substitute to a moisturizer in the evening, because it makes your face look a bit shiny

I would say it depends on your skin. I have oily skin and this works great as a moisturizer, but if you have dry skin you might like some extra moisture. I use this after toner.

Definitely use this after toning. This has a very lightweight moisturizer built in, so you may be able to get away with not using your usual moisturizer, but try it and see.

if you have very oily skin you can use just this as your moisturizer, if not yes, but this is meant to just be a moisturizer, so you might find some other products that could work better for your skin routine.

Question
Will I break out from this?
I used it all over my face for the first time yesterday to see if I'd have a reaction and I did see a few minor pimples come to surface but I don't know if it was the lotion or just my skin. I'm already using a 2% salicylic acid face wash so would this be too much? I debating on returning it for something that doesn't have salicylic acid.

redness goes away pretty much during 1 night, but you will see a really good result within 2 weeks. Skin is so smooth, and no breakouts! Doesn't help against comedones though...

I started using this with my clarisonic pro, so I'm not sure it can solely be attributed to this, but I'd say in a week or two...plus I've had less break outs over all since and the break outs I get don't last as long.

I want to try this because I have oily skin and want to try a mattifying moisturizer

To me - it is not mattifying at all. I would say it's a little dewy after a few hours on the skin.

It makes for a GREAT primer as it not only leaves your skin feeling like velvet at matte, but absorbs oil throughout the day. I prefer using this as a primer over Urban Decay & other primers for sure.

I use it daily - I feel that is helps keep my face from breaking out but I don't really think it works as a "mattifier" - I have used other products that I think work better to keep "shine" down.

I didn't find that this product was drying. I have very oily skin. After applying this product, I need to use the blotting paper after 5 or 10 minutes to take away the shine.

I have very dry skin with acne rosacea. This works well without drying out my skin and I have even been able to reduce my Rx treatment to 1x a day. I use it in the a.m. before applying a tinted moisturizer.

I have oily/combination skin- I use it all over on my face once a day and I don't think it is drying at all. I feel it is pretty mild but if used regularly- works to keep pimples away.

Question
Is this wearable during the day, under SPF and makeup?
Or is it likely to ball up? Or, like a lot of SA products, does it encourage a shine later in the day? Does it have a mattifying effect to counteract this? (Wouldn't be able to wear it evenings, as am using a different product then.)

I haven't found anything that unclogs pores including this but I will say it definitely keeps my acne in check. To be fair I have oily skin and large pores and I really don't think anything will help me with that but just exfoliate and use this hopefully it will help

I would not use this around your eyes at all! All acne products have ingredients that can dry out the skin. I also have sensitive skin and I apply this daily to only my acne prone areas only. This fights zits, even those little white bumps without over drying. It not a true moisturizer because it has acne fighting ingredients built in. Use a true moisturizer around your eyes.

Question
Has anyone tried transferring Clear Days Ahead™ Oil-Free Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment & Moisturizer to another bottle?
A common complaint about Clear Days Ahead Moisturizer is the size of the opening in the tube and accidentally dispensing too much moisturizer. I absolutely LOVE this moisturizer, but after going through my first tube in under 6 weeks, I realized I was using way too much. Has anyone tried transferring Clear Days Ahead™ Oil-Free Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment & Moisturizer to another bottle or tube? I know some products need to be in opaque containers in order to be kept shelf stable (ex: retinols), anyone know if this product needs to be kept out of direct light?

I agree the opening is too huge!! I haven't transferred it to another bottle but I just keep it lying on it's side before I use it then open it and tip a bit into my hand, if I don't it just pours out, hope that helps
