It has really made a difference in my skin. I have hormone related break outs and I really suffer bad before my period. I always have at least 1 or 2 blemishes at all times but have 10 or 15 prior to my period. After starting this product, I had 14 days without a breakout and 2 blemishes appeared before my period. Amazing.

It is perfect for combination skin because that's what I have. It doesn't dry out my skin or make it more oily, plus it is not irritating at all. I have had acne for years, and this is the first product where I'm actually seeing a difference because it isn't too strong, but it is effective!

It might work for you but if you're looking for value, try the drugstore classics first before getting on this product. I personally found that this wash doesn't work any better than a cheaper option. I would save and splurge on a nice moisturizer/eye cream/serum instead. Good Luck!

This product will dry out your skin because it is a very powerful acne cleanser. All you need to do is use a good moisturizer in conjunction with the cleanser to bring back the moisture once it is gone. I recommend Philosophy Take A Deep Breath moisturizer.

It may be drying out your skin because it's working too hard. Try using it just once a day in the morning and be sure you're pairing it with a great moisturizer.'Take a deep breath' from Philosophy is a great, gel based moisturizer that will keep you hydrated without overdoing it. Check it out!

I bought this because medications were causing me to get major break outs, I used it morning and night, and sometimes if I felt sweaty or oily or right before putting makeup on. My skin has cleared out a lot. I still use it every day. My skin didn get dry at all. Plus I also use a lot of the moisturizers samples Sephora sends me. I still have a few to try before I decide which one I like. So far the Lancome was awesome.

The cool thing I've found with my Clairsonic is that it kinda works with everything. When i first used the Clairsonic I broke out a little bit here and there because my skin just wasn't used to it. Over a few months I started to pair it with the 'Purity' Cleanser as well as the 'Clarifying Cleanser' from Murad. I finally found a routine with this particular cleanser that I absolutely love. Just be sure you moisturize after and you should be fine! Enjoy! :)

You should use makeup remover regardless if it does take off makeup, especially if you're using this because you have acne problems. You'd be essentially rubbing makeup into your skin. You can also use the purity cleanser first to take off makeup and then use this.

This cleanser is really great at removing any impurities as well as makeup! It breaks down the liquid or powder foundation. I was a little tentative to use this on my eye makeup so I started using Philosophy's Purity just around my eyes and then used the Clear Days Ahead on the rest of my face. This actually seems gentle enough to be used on all makeup though. So I would give it a try and if it's a little strong for you then maybe try the purity cleanser or wipes to take your eye makeup off first! Good luck! :)

You can remove your makeup with this product, but avoid the eyes because it's a bit harsh, and will burn if it gets in your eyes. I would suggest cleansing twice if you use it to remove makeup. Personally, I use Burt's Bees citrus facial scrub before using this cleanser, and that removes the makeup while exfoliating my skin, and then I follow with this cleanser.

Question
Light combo skin, moisturizer?
My skin is combination I believe but it is very sensitive and will dry out or break out with a lot of products. From what I have read this seems like it'd work for me.
But can anyone suggest a good moisturizer to follow up with???

'Take a deep breath' gel moisturizer from philosophy is amazing when paired with the 'Clear days ahead' routine. If you're looking for something with SPF then I would recommend the 'Hope in A Jar for Oily Skin'. That has an SPF of I believe 25 and is great for every day use.

This is a great cleanser, and my skin breaks out immediately if it doesn't like something, but this has only helped clear up my skin. A good moisturizer would be Aveeno Clear Complexion or Origins Zero Oil. I usually get irritated from products with fragrance, but the Aveeno moisturizer has been great. The Zero Oil is a great one too..it does not make my combination skin feel dry, but it doesn't make my skin oily.

I have very sensitive skin, which makes my face irritated and break out if it doesn't like a product. This cleanser is perfect though! It has helped clear up my acne the past few months and now I only get a break out very occasionally. It does not make my skin dry (I have combination skin) and it doesn't make my face feel tight after washing it.

It depends on whether salicylic acid irritates your skin. If you've used salicylic before and it didn't cause irritation, then it shouldn't make your skin worse because it's very gently. I have dry skin and this product didn't make my skin dryer, but i would still suggest using a moisturizer.

Both are great cleansers! I have had acne prone, oily skin for about five years and I've struggled a lot trying to find something that works for me. 'Clear Days Ahead' gave me more results in three days than the Clarifying Cleanser from Murad gave me the entire month I used it. Both are great and work in their own way but I suggest if you want fast, long lasting results-- try this one. Hope I helped!
