Is this product made for red hair?

I have cherry red hair, and I am looking for something to help preserve my hair color. Besides only washing my hair once a week, I also need a shampoo that won't strip the color as well. How well does this hold up?

I wash my long hair every day and this shampoo has made a HUGE difference in keeping my color looking fresh bold and new. I have my hair colored in an auburn ambre look. I am very happy with this product and would say YES it's made for red. My hairdresser and I have talked about this product and what it has done for other red shades, she has only great things to say about it too. kept my color looking like the day I walked out of the salon for two months with minimal fading, and I wash every day. Once I did not use it for the two month period (root re growth) until I could see my hair dresser again, and my color faded so drastically that I now make sure I buy this shampoo when I run out.

This shampoo/conditioner is not restricted to any particular hair colors. It does very well at preserving hair colors and keeping the color from washing out. It also gives it a very healthy shine. I would definitely recommend it!

My hair is also red and I think it works great. It's the best product so far. I barley see the color wash out and I've had my hair dyed not even a month ago. I'd say give it a shot.

I tried everything that claimed to keep color from fading. this shampo is the only one I have found that actually does wha it claims. red, as you know, has its own fading challenges, but this is the best!

This is a great shampoo for color treated hair and will help your cherry red coloring stay longer. Since it is sulfate free, it is less drying and will keep your coloring strong and the hair cuticles sealed to prevent running.

I would think it would work for all hair types. its sulfate free and nice. Its got a rich thick texture compared to the other bumble and bumble shampoos. I really liked it.

Does this shampoo cause breakage?

I've been using this shampoo and conditioner set for a week and i'm starting to notice breakage at the roots. I have very bleached and extremely fine hair so the idea of a sulfate-free shampoo enticed me but after using it im afraid it might be causing more damage to my already damaged hair than my previous shampoos with sulfates.

I would say that the best shampoo for you would be Bumble and Bumble's Mending - it's a little more expensive but 100% worth it in my opinion - quenching might also do the trick. When you have damaged & bleached hair a mask is always helpful - Ojon has a great restorative treatment called "Restorative Hair Treatment Plus" - it smells good too! But if you are wanting to stick with Bumble and Bumble - stick with the mending or quenching line. Also, if you have a Sephora near you, you can always get samples of these products beforehand to see if you like them or not.
