The pump does lock so traveling with it should be no trouble.

The pump locks, but I have noticed mine leaking if it is on its side for too long. If it is unscrewed even a little bit, it will leak. One of them leaked all over my hand in the store!

Yes! it does have a locking mechanism, although I would take any chances, I'd put it in a zipper-lock plastic bag for travel=:)

I definitely would NOT travel with this... when I purchased this in store - I had to dig through a few bottles on the shelf that didn't feel oily & that is while they have a plastic seal in tact. After that is removed, forget it, when I returned this I had to wrap it in paper towels so it didn't leak all over. If you do like this product & want to travel with it, dispense some into some sort of travel container.

Even if it does I would be nervous
BUT you could sealing the top with a piece of plastic wrap (take off cap - top bottle with plastic wrap - return cap to super duty seal) then follow by putting in a ziploc or two
You would not be happy if oil ended up on all your clothes

Yes, it locks when you twist the pump. It feels pretty solid, but since the pump sticks out a little farther than the bottle, I'd be worried about it catching on something and getting unlocked. I'd probably transfer some to a travel bottle to be safe.

Question
Is this appropriate for combination/adult acne/rosacea skin?
I would love something to remove my makeup before I use my cleanser instead of cleansing my face twice. Other recommendations are fine too :)

I would say this is a great cleanser for acne prone skin, and oily skin. Like dissolves like, so oil cleansers clean very well, but do not strip your skin of it's own natural oils. Within a few weeks you will actually see your skin produce less of its own oil. This product will take off your makeup and leave your skin clean in 1 step. Just use a hot wet wash rag to "steam" your face for a few seconds then wipe off the oil. That's it. Clean skin.

I would say no, because it contains mineral oil which may clog your pores. Go to a health food store and buy jojoba oil . I have very oily skin, and have been using that for years to take off my make up. I tried this sephora product and discovered the mineral oil ingredient. While it works fine, may not be good for acne.

I would never buy this product again; I use DHC Olive Oil Cleanser. It is head and shoulders above any other product of it's kind. It removes all make-up including water-proof mascara and washes off effortlessly; leaving your face soft without any oily residue. Unfortunately, you can only buy it on line so I now keep an extra bottle in my stock of beauty supplies. Hope this helped!

Having adult acne prone skin that is also dry in areas, I would not reccomend this (for anyone actually, the product consistency is awful) it doesn't rinse clean off the skin, you need another oil based cleanser to remove this which for me, dried my skin out even more, I tried this trying to avoid using a drying makeup remover around my eyes & this somehow made me dryer & break out where I used it a few days - Not Worth it & irritated my skin.

Compare
how does this compare to Demalogica's Precleanse or Boscia's Make up Break up?

answer 1
I haven't tried Boscia's but compared to dermalogica precleanse, it takes off makeup just as well. What it doesn't do however, is rinse away like the precleanse does and thus you definitely need to follow up with your regular cleanser to get all the oil off.

I used to buy the makeup breakup! I still buy the exfoliating scrub that Boscia makes. Love it the best. And I liked the makeup breakup but I like this just as much, and the value cannot be beat. Definitely worth buying and trying...cause you can always take it back and exchange if you don't like!

Not at all the same. I have used both Boscia and Dermalogica, and the Sephora brand pales in comparison. It is much heavier, and contains mineral oil. My skin broke out from using this product, but never has with other brands of cleansing oils.

I don't know the other two products you mention, but Sephora's Supreme Cleanser is everything but Supreme. The first ingredient is a clear indication of why it's so difficult to remove. MINERAL OIL, it leaves a terrible oily film on your skin. I have had to use a washcloth and rub to remove the product along with the makeup. Very unpleasant!!

Having tried both of those, this is NOT comparable. This leaves some thick oily residue that becomes worse & thicker after trying to rinse with water & doesn't really remove makeup, it just adds oil to it, I don't know how to explain it, its weird. It does become slightly emollient when water is added, but doesn't rinse clean or off of the skin at allllll.

Both products will do the trick in removing face make up, but the overall feel is different. The water is a bit more refreshing feeling, but expect to use several large cotton pads to remove the make up. The oil seems to dissolve the makeup more quickly and there is less makeup residue on the cotton pads. Which one you use depends on preference. I seem to alternate using them depending on how I feel. I do recommend using either one as a pre-cleanse for make up removal, followed by your preferred cleanser for final cleaning. I do not use either of these for eye make up as I have another product that I love.
