Question

There is very little shimmer with this product. Almost none! Honestly, it doesn't have a smell. (one of the reasons I love it) I can actually put it on and go out without it being noticed. Most lotions I would have to let dry for hours, then shower to not smell it. This is perfect!

The scent is hard to explain, but it's one of the reasons I love this lotion so much. It has sort of a lavender scent to it mixed with some sort of scent I can't pinpoint, and it does have the slight "tanning lotion smell" but the lavender- like scent mostly overpowers it. The shimmer particles are microscopic and you can't notice them at all after about 15 minutes of applying the lotion.

The product has a nice light scent and the bronzing particles are very very small. The product gives a very nice shimmer which adds to the light tan it gives which is builable over time. You can decide how dark you want to be which is nice for us pale ladies! I am very pale and this works well for me.

This product was a lot bigger than I thought it was! The scent actually smells good! It doesn't smell like those gross self tanners. The gold shimmers are very tiny but add a little shine in the sun which is great! The lotion moisturizes amazingly as well!

I'm not sure how to describe the smell other than it smells clean. the shimmer pieces are not big at all and it's just a subtle sparkle when applied.

It does kind of have that odd tanner smell but I found it goes away after a couple hours. The shimmer is very small and there is quite a lot.

Personally, I haven't used a ton of tanning products. I've use a few different tanning lotions and this is my favorite! All you've got to do is use it as a regular body moisturizer! When you get out of the shower simply apply it like lotion. It gives your skin a nice bonzed look with a hint of glow. Good Luck!

Rub evenly all over body starting with feet to shins, knees to hips, stomach, chest, arms and then back (with the back of your hand). It goes on just like a lotion and has no tanning smell like most. Works gradually. If I want more color quickly, I use it morning and night. It I want a slow tan, I use it only at night.

The tan it gives off is very very subtle so if you're looking for a huge difference of color I do not recommend this product. Apply it on like any other lotion! U can't go wrong with using it! It doesn't come off streaky at all

apply evenly all over the body and make sure you rub it in so you don't get streaks, if you do get streaks, don't worry, they are very minimal! most importantly, wash your hands after!!

If you're fair-skinned like me and use this product, you will not have a 'tan' per se, just a nice, subtle summer glow. It's best to apply any self-tanner after a shower and shaving and exfoliating. And make sure you're completely dry so you won't get any streaks! Start at your lower legs with a quarter-sized blob and cover your shins and calves evenly first. Then rub the tops of your feet and ankles with whatever residue is left on your palms. (Trust me, you don't want too much product on your feet...the skin on your feet is very dry and will soak up this stuff like a sponge!) Next, do your thighs with a slightly larger amount of product, smoothing on as evenly as possible. And so on, up to and including your neck. Make sure to wash your hands as your palms will 'tan' if you don't. Walk around naked for about 15 minutes before dressing so the product has a chance to dry and not transfer to your clothes. Do this every time you shower and you will be able to maintain your color well.

This is good to use to even out tan lines or add a little bit of color and some bronze shimmer to arms/legs in a sundress. It's not going to make you look like you've been in Aruba for a week.

yes, I use it on my face with nice results. My face and neck don't tan like the rest of my body, so this is a good fix.

Yes you can use on your face. Keep away from the eyes and be careful around eyebrows and the hairline ares. Rub in well. I applied it with a brush and rubbed it in with the brush.

U can! It's so lightweight i feel like it won't clog your pores. But it has little gold shimmers in it so u probably shouldn't.

If you're not sensitive to fragrance, go for it! I would imagine some people might react to the masking scent, though, so try a sample area first.

Question
Wash off?
Will this wash off the next time I take a shower after application? Or, will the color stay throughout a couple of showers. In other words, is this just like a tinted moisturizer? Or a self tanner that is semi permanent? Thanks!

Your best bet is to use every other showering, I think. It will wear off if you don't keep up with it. The shimmer in it does wear off after showering. I play volleyball, and it does sweat off around my knee pads.

It's a semi permanent self-tanner. It will take a couple of washes to wash off; although, the shimmer it had was misleading.

I've used this amazingly good self-tanner for a month or so - intermittently. The color builds slowly but is super natural-looking. It isn't a tinted moisturizer so will fade over time. I apply it at least once a week to maintain the color.

This is NOT a tinted moisturizer. The color will NOT wash off after you shower. It is more like a semi-permanent self-tanner. I always apply it at night when I'm just out of the shower. I wake up with a nice, warm, summer-kissed glow to my legs. It does take a few applications to build up a little color. But once that happens, you only need a few applications two or three times a week to maintain. This is my FAVORITE self-tanner!

I would not recommend this product on your face. It richly moisturizes and has gold shimmer. May cause you to break out.

Since you are acne prone, we suggest trying a product that is designed specifically for your combo skin to avoid any irritation and save this one for your body.

I used it on my face, and it made it somewhat greasy. If you are prone to breakouts I would use it sparingly.

It may be a bit rich to put on your face, but I have seen no ill effects so far, and my skin is usually rather sensitive to such things.

I don't know if this is non-oily but I think it gives me a slight moisturizing effect. It is definitely non-greasy. Very nice total effect.

Yes, I do apply it to my face and then use a light powder to seal it. The color gradually gets more bronze with more use. Probably not great on oily skin for the face.
