I received a sample of the Even Better in neutral and loved it, but I did find that the Stay-Matte was better at controlling oil... If you do have more oily skin than combination, I would go with the Stay-Matte.

I wear 8 - Golden Natural in Stay-Matte and it had more yellow tones in it than the neutral.. but both worked fine!

I am not familiar with even better foundation by clinique but if you are questing which to buy i'm sure you are unhappy with the results. if you have acne prone skin you should try this. Acne is generally formed by dirt and oil piled on top of eachother. This foundation is oil free.

I use and love both products!

I wear mat velvet+ in 40 and clinique in 9-creamy natural or 11-honey (when I'm tanner)

I use both. I love the mat velvet for events where a lot of photographs are being taken. Mat velvet is a dryer foundation with quite a bit more coverage. Clinique is buildible medium coverage. I would compare this foundation more to MUFE HD than mat velvet in terms of consistency and coverage, though it doesn't make me nearly as shiny as MUFE HD.

It is a LOT less chalky and much smoother. I wear MUFE in 30 and Clinique in alabaster

I have very fair skin with pink undertones and use Alabaster (2). Linen (2) is slightly darker and has yellow undertones.

Since Ivory is a "neutral pink-beige," you may like Alabaster, as it's the lightest shade overall and has pink-tones. Linen is a tad darker and has yellow-tones.

i checked the even better make up and ur quite pale i would recommend the first shade 1.Linen if ur looking to purchase a stay matte foundation how ever go to sephora and try to get a color match because Linen is the lightest shade they have and 3 ivory seems to be a bit lighter then that
you can also try Cream whip but that might be a tad too dark

Question
How does it hold up in temps and humidity over 80?
I like that it was tested at 800 degrees, 80% humidity, but I live in FL, where it's hotter, and more humid. How does it hold up here? I like the idea of it!

My experiences with this foundation in hot weather have been pretty good. I wore this to florida, and my foundation stayed on all day. The foundation didn't sweat off and didn't sheer out. You might still need to reapply at night, but overall it has great staying power in humidity.

I am a huge fan of this foundation, but I don't think it will help your skin in the long run. If you apply Clinique's three step system underneath then it will effect your skin. For the meantime, this will conceal your problem areas and the skin care will eventually resolve them.

i dont think it does how ever clinique has over great foundations and powders that could help a bit with that ! if ur looking for something that gets rid of acne and scars i would not turn to a foundation since it only hides it and can only help your skin a little bi

Question
Is this good for acne prone skin? Will it help or hurt it?
I have fair acne prone skin. I want to know if this will clog pores, irritate my acne, make my skin worse in the long run, etc. If anyone has any personal experience with the product, that would be soooo helpful!

No! This was the first foundation product my dermatologist suggested/recommended to me to buy and I have incredibly sensitive skin and this was light and not at all irritating but had really good coverage.

I actually want to tell you that for me, this foundation has done wonders for my combination, acne-prone skin. I actually even did an experiment and wore it overnight to see if it would upset my face, but not only did the makeup stay on completely, it also appeared to have left my skin looking flawless (which is rare; usually my face looks dull after washing makeup off that I've left on overnight). I think the fact that it's oil-free has a lot to do with it; there don't seem to be any heavy chemicals in it, and it really does control oil that would normally clog pores.
