It doesn't work as well, but you could in emergency situation. I tried it as a top and it wasn't as smooth as a top coat should be. So I would only use it that one in a bajillion chance and not my everyday double.

You can normally use base coats as top coats but they will take much longer to dry and won't give you that smooth glossy feel that a proper top coat would.

Generally, base coats are meant to dry slightly tacky to allow polish to better adhere onto them. If you use them as top, expect the finished feel of your manicure to be different than if you had used top coat!

Where is the Silica?
The description states "rich in Silica", but I did not see any in the ingredients list. What is it listed as?
