How exactly do you open the jar to put powder in it???
My sister and I tried twisting and pulling it, but the black sifter won't budge! There has to be a way for you to open it...

You twist the bottom half and it will open the 4 wholes.

Does the BRUSH piece in this item have a powder container and how does it come out into the brush? tap tap? or push a button. Or do you have to dip the brush into the jar?

The brush does not have a powder container. The powder all sits in the clear compartment and the powder comes out through four little holes that are open and close-able. It's easiest to open the holes while the container is still in one piece, shake the powder onto the brush, close the holes, open the container, then twist up the brush and use. It can also be used to shake the powder onto the brush. Dipping the brush into the powder itself isn't possible.

I'm a little puzzled about how this works
I was very excited about this purchase but am now a little confused. First, the open and close seem backwards. When I turn it to close, it is open -- the 4 holes are open -- and when I turn it to open, the 4 little holes are closed. Second, when the holes are open, it appears that insufficient powder comes out. Do I need to tap it so that more powder comes out? Should I shake it before opening. I think this product has great potential but right now, not so much so.
