Since Tarte is all natural, I do not consider this primer to be like other primers giving a false finish. Tarte provides great coverage and also prmotes natural flawless skin, I love this primer and do not face the silicone texture, or even an oily/dry slate, but a flawless finish.

I think this goes on so light and evenly, it's really great. I use just a large pea-sized amount for my face and whole neck.
I don't know what you mean by silicone though, so I can't compare it to those products.

No silicone added, and it doesn't even have a similar texture to silicone-based primers. It feels moisturizing!

no, it's actually a white cream, like a moisturizer, but I feel it tightens my skin as well. I totally know what you are saying about the silicon that rolls.
this is way different than the old stuff ... they have two now. the brightening primer is more like a lotion - not the silicony stuff (i hate that too). the second kind they have is the poreless version, which is like their older silicone style primer. give the brightening one a try. light, smells great, and all natural!
