It is actually really good for acne prone skin in my opinion because it is really light weight and it is also oil free, which when you have acne prone skin it is always good to try to use as much oil free products as you can to keep excessive oil out of your pores. However I did not find this to help fill in or minimize and acne scarring if you have any. Hope this helps!

yes it is. Normally when i switch to a new skin care product my skin will break out while getting used to it. That did not happen when I used the primer.

I'm acne prone due to certain makeup products that do not work with my sensitive skin and this worked wonders. I would give it a try.

I don't think it claims to be non-comedogenic, but as an anecdote, I am acne-prone and it has not caused any breakouts or irritation.

Question
Has anybody compared it to the original?
I'm very oily and the original did nothing for me. It's weird because the powder was better when I applied it before my mineral powder make up, not afterwards. Anyway, I need a good primer for hot Texas weather.

This primed and poreless sensitive does not have the slight shimmer the original in the pink tube has.

I have very sensitive skin and I bought the original before I knew the Pure existed. Now that I've found this version, I prefer it hands down. Easier on your skin, oil-free (always a plus!) and just feels nicer compared to the original in my opinion.

You will absolutely fall in love with Primed & Poreless PURE! This formula is 100% oil-free and was created specifically for sensitive and/or oily skin. It mattifies surface oil and halts any excess sebum production. It's definitely worth a try as it sounds like a perfect match for your skin type!

Question
This or Smashbox Light
I have a sample of this and of Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light. I can only afford one. Both feel good on my face. Which is preferred for those who have worn both regularly?

I use both interchangeably, they're almost equal & you really can't go wrong with either. Too Faced is a little more creamy but I don't like the scent. SmashBox' has no scent. For under the eyes I only use SmashBox primer though, it does keep the creamy concealer from getting into the tiny creases.

Hi There,
I'd most definitely go with the Too Faced primer. The SmashBox photo finish is my 2nd all time favourite followed by, Stilla's color corrector primer. Too Faced sensitive skin primer applies and wears much like Photo finish but I'm still trying to get over how my skin didn't get shiny for a long period of time, and that won me over, if you haven't tried the Stilla one you should check that out too. I love that primer as well. :)

Smash box light, hands down for me. I have S/W of an oily Tzone. Primed and poreless made my face oily. Smash box does not. Don't know your skin type, but that's my results in comparing/wearing the two.

Smash box light works really well. Get a sample or purchase the smaller size. Good price and lasts a while. Primed and poreless left my skin oily. Not so with smash box light.

Smashbox photo finish light. I have noticed with Smashbox primers that my skin tends to still look shiny, even though I have dry skin. So I chose Primed and Poreless over Smashbox.

I have large pores and I don't feel that this product stretched them. In fact it covers them very well, better than other primers that I used before, but it has no actual influence on the pore size.
