Questions & Answers for Sunday Riley Bionic Anti-Aging Cream

Question
How do I use this?
I can't seem to figure out where this product is used in my skin care routine. Is it instead of a serum, and used before Juno and moisturizer? Is it worth alternating with Good Genes? Thanks!!

It is so hard to figure out from Sunday Riley how to combine their products! I would guess that Bionic would be applied after Good Genes, etc. It seems to be more in the category of a moisturizer and the others serums.

Not sure but best guess.

Let good genes or Juno soak it, then apply this. They all do different things but work great in conjunction. This is an anti aging moisturizer, Juno a supplementary radiance oil, and good genes a treatment. Love them all!

This is a product that I really enjoy. I use it following the Luna Oil at night and use Good Genes during the day. My skin is extremely sensitive, and these products have greatly improved the overall appearance of my skin without irritating. I'm a huge fan of the Sunday Riley products!

Use as the last step in your night routine as your moisturizer. I use it after Good Genes and Luna.

I think so! This moisturizer is great, does not clog my pores at all. I am prone to acne around my forehead and chin. It's much better than most acne recommended oil free moisturizers bc this leaves your skin with a nice healthy glow- not shiny not matte.

I use this on the drier parts of my face and the skin adrenaline on the oilier parts. Yes it's expensive but it really works!

Am sure you can. Product description of Bionic says you can "pair" it with Good Genes, but don't know if that means applying the two S/R products together (layering) or in what order. That would be helpful to know.

Anyway, I can't see that Bionic would interfere with makeup.

This product is used on runway models at fashion shows so it works great under makeup. This was my concern too- as I'd imagine makeup would just slide off my face after 4 hours, but surprisingly stayed put all day.

I apply Start Over, Good Genes and Bionic (yes, I love Sunday Riley) every morning. My skin absorbs the products fairly quickly. I usually start applying my makeup about 5 to 10 minutes after the skin care. My foundation goes on easily and evenly. (I have dry skin) I hope this helps.

I think so, though the order of which to apply products is not readily available, best I can tell, from Sunday Riley.

I would think Bionic might mitigate any irritation caused by a retinal product. That could be a good thing--or it might weaken the retinal, depending on how long you wait between product applications.

Seems to me you'd want to apply the retinal first, as "treatment" products usually go on before a moisturizer--which is how I would categorize Bionic.

It is meant to be used in conjunction with Luna, their retinol product.

answer 3
Perhaps it depends on the retinol. I use this product at night following the Luna Oil, which is a retinol product (the only retinol product that my sensitive skin has ever tolerated). After about 6 months of use, I have had no problems and am extremely pleased with the results. Friends and family tell me that my skin looks really great.
Hope that this helps.

I would say it's thicker than it is light, but not super thick or heavy. I like it as a night cream or to spot treat areas like undereye and above lips during the day, though.

answer 2
I wouldn't say it's thick at all. It's a nice, slip consistency that soaks in quickly. Don't let that scare you away though--while it seems thinner than other creams, it's powerful and incredibly hydrating.

Question
No Parabens? . . . Reviews confusing regarding the subject!
There are several people who left reviews stating they love this product so much that some would like to bath in this product, etc., because it is so good but they have quit using it because of the Parabens in the product. However, the website plainly states that there are NO Parabens in this product. So which is it? I like to look at reviews before I change up my routine and buy a different facial product, but either the formula has changed and used to have Parabens, or the website is wrong and I will find out when my order arrives or there are people who have reviewed the wrong product when leaving their review. Or maybe some of the reviews were left by people who never used the product? Anybody have any comments concerning this question/topic?

It used to have parabens, then they removed them. Mine still says 99% paraben free but I dont care about 1% so much, and I try to avoid most toxins but would make this exception for 1% :)

Product label says it's 99% paraben free. Makes you wonder what percentage parabens are in paraben-containing products in general.

Me, not too worried about parabens, just sayin.

I think it's great as an undereye cream, also above the lip area. Since instructions are unclear about product application, it's hard to know how it was tested and intended to be used, exactly. One review says it improved her eye lid area! I can't imagine putting this on lids with the instructions not saying that's ok, though.
