No more difficult than any waterproof mascara, or any of the other fiber lash extension systems. Use good makeup remover and cotton swabs, or something similar, and be gentle. The only thing I use is Lancome Bi-Facil, because it does everything, and quickly.

I use First Aid Beauty face cleanser. After I wash my face with my cleanser I have very little of the mascara left. I use a eye makeup remover to touch up any left over. I've never had any harder time removing this than any other mascara.

I have had good luck removing with regular bi-phase eye makeup remover (oil & liquid layers). I use Lancome Bifacil and a cotton pad. I then follow up with a swipe of cleansing water (I go back and forth between Caudalie and Laura Mercier) to return the ph balance and pick up remaining oil residue.

You CAN remove it with regular face wash and eye make-up remover; however, it takes a LONG time and is very messy. I used face wash, eye make-up remover, an make-up remover cloth, and then the eye make-up remover again. There was still remnants and it somehow got everywhere.

Yes the fibers in the white tube are fluffy little...well...fibers. i wasn't really expecting that and it took me about 3 uses of the stuff to get the hang of how to and how not to apply them.

yes... so you put the mascara on, then these fibers, then the mascara again. so its a 3-step process. Ideally, the fibers are suppose to be the thing that thickens and makes your lashes look false. Then you cover the fibers so that it looks more natural.

Yes, they are dry. Kinda funky, I know! You apply the mascara first, then the fibers which adhere to the mascara, then seal them with the mascara again.

Question
Are you supposed to let each layer dry between coats?
I just bought this product and haven't used it yet, I was just wondering are you supposed to let the first coat of mascara dry before you apply the nylon fibers? I would assume no so they stick but I'm wondering if this will ruin the brush used to apply the fibers for further uses? If someone could let me know that would be great, thank-you :)

No I apply the first coat of mascara then the fibers then the second coat of mascara... if you let it dry between applying it will be stiff and hard to apply so do one eye at a time.

NOOOOO!!! I made this mistake the first time i used it. When you apply the first coat apply the fibers right away. Dont let the mascara dry or else all the little lint-like fibers will fall into your eyes and face. Yes they burn. Then right away add the second coat of mascara. I recomend to do one eye at a time since the mascara dries up real quick. Good luck!!!

If by work you mean, make your lashes look slightly longer, then I guess so. But they are stiff and don't look good, and don't look like the rest of your lashes. I think you are better off with a good mascara or false lashes.

Yes, this product really does make your lashes look a LOT longer because of the fibers. The only thing I found that was an issue was the formula took longer than usual to dry, and it tends to get sticky-meaning lashes sticking together.
You might have better luck, but be warned of the potential sticky situation.
Yes, you can return it if you arent satisfied.

Honestly I just used excessive face wash and really rubbed it into my eyelashes to really get it lathered up and outta there. Try an oil-based eye makeup remover because you can rub your eye and it wont leave your eye dry. It will also give a more slippery state to your eye making it easier for makeup to rub off.

Question
Can you use another waterproof mascara as final step?
I have such bad allergies and my eyes water a lot, so, I must wear to have waterproof mascara. Would love to try this but...has anyone ever used , say, this type of mascara and coated the eyelashes with a waterproof mascara at the end, as a final step? If so, has it worked to prevent 'black eyes' when eyes do water? I wonder if that would make the application of this mascara waterproof? I really want this mascara! It sounds like a miracle invention for some. Maybe I will just buy it and try it. If anyone else has already, would you please let me know? Thanks!

The mascara it comes with is waterproof. I can attest that it is cry proof and practically make up remover proof.

I prefer to use my own non waterproof mascara with it for ease of removal and also my mascara is scented which I enjoy!

So you can use your favorite waterproof mascara with it too and I'm sure it'd work just fine!

First, my heart goes out to you. I don't have allergies that cause my eyes to water, but my eyes are very sensitive to wind. If there's some wind blowing, my eyes will water and everyone around me thinks I'm crying.

I thought I would get panda eyes with this product as well, but for me.. it holds up pretty well against my watery eyes. Of course, I would only put this on my top lashes. If you want to avoid having the top and bottom corner lashes stick, I would put that water proof coating on the bottom lashes after you are done with the steps.
I have posted a picture of myself with the mascara only on the top lashes. You may not be able to see it clearly when you zoom in (filters make pictures grainy when zoomed in). I have naturally short lashes, so it may not look like much, but if you can see the lashes kinda sticking out.. the actual length of my lashes in this picture is actually the same length of the false lashes I have in my drawers.

Hope this helped.

I would not reccomend using a waterproof mascara over this product because with regular mascara it really hardens and stiffens your eyelash and it is already really hard to take off as is. A waterproof mascara will only worsen the situation. Not only is it tough taking the fibers off but with waterproof mascara will just make you waste your time trying to take it off. Frustration.

I have a drawer full of mascaras and I have tried lots of combinations with the nylon fibers (step 2 of this product). My favorite way to use it is with another primer/lash base and a top coat of Lancome Definicils; it works great, so try your waterproof mascra with it and see. If it doesn't work, you can return it.

You can definitely try another waterproof mascara on top to "seal" the fibers of the "Better Than False Lashes" mascara but make sure it is a super lightweight and defining mascara that won't be too heavy or chunky on top of this one.
