Yes the fibers in the white tube are fluffy little...well...fibers. i wasn't really expecting that and it took me about 3 uses of the stuff to get the hang of how to and how not to apply them.

answer 4
yes... so you put the mascara on, then these fibers, then the mascara again. so its a 3-step process. Ideally, the fibers are suppose to be the thing that thickens and makes your lashes look false. Then you cover the fibers so that it looks more natural.

Yes, I would say the best thing to compare the fibers to is dryer lint.

Yes, they are dry. Kinda funky, I know! You apply the mascara first, then the fibers which adhere to the mascara, then seal them with the mascara again.

Question
Are you supposed to let each layer dry between coats?
I just bought this product and haven't used it yet, I was just wondering are you supposed to let the first coat of mascara dry before you apply the nylon fibers? I would assume no so they stick but I'm wondering if this will ruin the brush used to apply the fibers for further uses? If someone could let me know that would be great, thank-you :)

Don't let it dry! Do one step then the next then the next. You want the fibers to be able to stick to your lashes!

No I apply the first coat of mascara then the fibers then the second coat of mascara... if you let it dry between applying it will be stiff and hard to apply so do one eye at a time.

No, you put the fibers on right after the mascara. Do one eye then the other eye. It is a fairly quick process, mascara-fibers-mascara. Enjoy!

answer 6
NOOOOO!!! I made this mistake the first time i used it. When you apply the first coat apply the fibers right away. Dont let the mascara dry or else all the little lint-like fibers will fall into your eyes and face. Yes they burn. Then right away add the second coat of mascara. I recomend to do one eye at a time since the mascara dries up real quick. Good luck!!!

don't let the mascara dry before applying the dry fibers! They will have nothing to stick to and they'll fall right off!

I have tear gland problems and allergies as well, and this mascara stays on. It's not waterproof by label, but it's super durable because of the nylon fibers and withstands watery eyes. Just don't wear it on bottom lashes and you'll be fine.

If by work you mean, make your lashes look slightly longer, then I guess so. But they are stiff and don't look good, and don't look like the rest of your lashes. I think you are better off with a good mascara or false lashes.

answer 7
Yes, this product really does make your lashes look a LOT longer because of the fibers. The only thing I found that was an issue was the formula took longer than usual to dry, and it tends to get sticky-meaning lashes sticking together.
You might have better luck, but be warned of the potential sticky situation.
Yes, you can return it if you arent satisfied.

Can I purchase a refill of just the fibers?
I just started using this and LOVE it, but I think I will run out of the fibers pretty quickly. Does "too faced" sell just the tube of fibers?

I use First Aid Beauty face cleanser. After I wash my face with my cleanser I have very little of the mascara left. I use a eye makeup remover to touch up any left over. I've never had any harder time removing this than any other mascara.

I have had good luck removing with regular bi-phase eye makeup remover (oil & liquid layers). I use Lancome Bifacil and a cotton pad. I then follow up with a swipe of cleansing water (I go back and forth between Caudalie and Laura Mercier) to return the ph balance and pick up remaining oil residue.

You CAN remove it with regular face wash and eye make-up remover; however, it takes a LONG time and is very messy. I used face wash, eye make-up remover, an make-up remover cloth, and then the eye make-up remover again. There was still remnants and it somehow got everywhere.

Question
I am confused? It says this is a 3 step system? Are there 3 products? It refers to "Flexistretch™ nylon lash fibers"?
"Flexistretch™ nylon lash fibers"? Three step system? Three products? Are these actual fibers that you have to put on yourselft or is this something built into product? I am confused.

This is a 3-step kit. You put a coat of the mascara on, then a coat or two of the fibers, then another coat of mascara. I like to use a different mascara for the third step, something with a little more volume to it!

2 products. I don't even use the base/top coat. I start with my Lash Fibers from Make Up Forever and while that is still tacky, I apply the nylon fibers. Then, I let the fibers set and adhere to the lash before I apply my normal mascara as the top coat. If you don't wait, you will lose the fibers in the top coat you use.

Better Than False Lashes has 2 only products and just 3 steps to amazing lashes! No other products are needed to receive this false lash look. (Step 1) To start, curl your lashes, then apply 1 coat of activating mascara to one eye. Like real false lashes, apply the system to one eye at a time! (Step 2) Apply 1 layer of the nylon fibers, concentrating where you want the most volume or length. (Step 3) Seal fibers by applying 1 more coat of the activating mascara. (Step 4) Repeat Steps 2 & 3 if more drama is desired!

Sorry for any confusion. The Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension System comes with step one and two. Step one is the white tube, step two is the gold tube and step three will be any intense black or dark brown mascara that you own. I recommend the Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara as the pigment is extremely black. You do not have to apply the Flexistrech Nylon Lash Fibers yourself as it comes in the gold tube. Simply apply it as you would mascara. I hope that answered your question.

Nope, not waterproof on its own. If you use a waterproof mascara as your top coat, it will help keep the fibers on your lashes better, but I wouldn't recommend swimming for extended periods of time if you want to keep your face from having black streaks.

It's a hard question to answer because I can wash my face and not touch my eyes and it will stay in place, but as soon as I rub them it starts rolling off. I do like how easily it is to take off though. it doesn't bleed like most mascara so a few swipes and its off!

It is certainly not waterproof. I do notice flaking of the bits by the end of the day. Given its tendency to be sticky and gummy, I would say using the activator/top coat (steps 1 and 3) that come with it is not even for humid environments (I live in Atlanta, so summer is hot and sticky). I use another mascara for step 3, anyway; I imagine you could use a waterproof mascara with it. Experiment!
