Question
waterproof?
I wanted to know if the Too Faced Better than False Lashes mascara is waterproof. I have allergies so my eyes water a lot and I have to wear waterproof mascara. Will this one work for me?

If your eyes water a lot, I wouldn't wear this mascara. I do always add a top coat of my mascara along with this. But whenever I shower after it comes off easily.

It's pretty tough stuff. Not waterproof, but absolutely hangs on! Best removed with waterproof mascara removal products.

I have tear gland problems and allergies as well, and this mascara stays on. It's not waterproof by label, but it's super durable because of the nylon fibers and withstands watery eyes. Just don't wear it on bottom lashes and you'll be fine.

I would say it's water-resistant. Don't go swimming in it, but it seriously does not budge or move unless you remove it on purpose with hot water and foaming cleanser.

I returned it but they did ask why. Sometimes it's hit and miss if the sales person will ask. I just said it made my lashes stick together. I also said (about other products) that I just didn't like it.

If by work you mean, make your lashes look slightly longer, then I guess so. But they are stiff and don't look good, and don't look like the rest of your lashes. I think you are better off with a good mascara or false lashes.

answer 7
Yes, this product really does make your lashes look a LOT longer because of the fibers. The only thing I found that was an issue was the formula took longer than usual to dry, and it tends to get sticky-meaning lashes sticking together.
You might have better luck, but be warned of the potential sticky situation.
Yes, you can return it if you arent satisfied.

Can I purchase a refill of just the fibers?
I just started using this and LOVE it, but I think I will run out of the fibers pretty quickly. Does "too faced" sell just the tube of fibers?

Yes the fibers in the white tube are fluffy little...well...fibers. i wasn't really expecting that and it took me about 3 uses of the stuff to get the hang of how to and how not to apply them.

answer 4
yes... so you put the mascara on, then these fibers, then the mascara again. so its a 3-step process. Ideally, the fibers are suppose to be the thing that thickens and makes your lashes look false. Then you cover the fibers so that it looks more natural.

Question
Are you supposed to let each layer dry between coats?
I just bought this product and haven't used it yet, I was just wondering are you supposed to let the first coat of mascara dry before you apply the nylon fibers? I would assume no so they stick but I'm wondering if this will ruin the brush used to apply the fibers for further uses? If someone could let me know that would be great, thank-you :)

NOOOOO!!! I made this mistake the first time i used it. When you apply the first coat apply the fibers right away. Dont let the mascara dry or else all the little lint-like fibers will fall into your eyes and face. Yes they burn. Then right away add the second coat of mascara. I recomend to do one eye at a time since the mascara dries up real quick. Good luck!!!

No more difficult than any waterproof mascara, or any of the other fiber lash extension systems. Use good makeup remover and cotton swabs, or something similar, and be gentle. The only thing I use is Lancome Bi-Facil, because it does everything, and quickly.

I have had good luck removing with regular bi-phase eye makeup remover (oil & liquid layers). I use Lancome Bifacil and a cotton pad. I then follow up with a swipe of cleansing water (I go back and forth between Caudalie and Laura Mercier) to return the ph balance and pick up remaining oil residue.

You CAN remove it with regular face wash and eye make-up remover; however, it takes a LONG time and is very messy. I used face wash, eye make-up remover, an make-up remover cloth, and then the eye make-up remover again. There was still remnants and it somehow got everywhere.

I suggest you to use whatever you usally use to remove your eye makeup. Try an oil based eye makeup remover so your eye doesnt feel so dry after all that rubbing and wiping. I used simple face wash and then a makeup remover towelette to finish it off.

I would definetely reccomend using a lash seperater for this product because you cant really control where the fibers sit you can only hope you get it right the first time LOL. Using a lash seperater before and after you apply the MASCARA will help everything come together very nicely. :) Good luck
