Questions & Answers for Rita Hazan Root Concealer For Highlights

Question
Does this damage hair?
I have fragile hair due to using root concealers in the past..I recently had to cut my very long hair off to above my shoulders all because of at home products like this and before had very healthy hair so I'm scared. Any good advice on this product?will it effect hairs health or cause in natural results to where I'll have to go fix it at a salon?

Does not damage the hair at all. Rinses out once you wash it

I don't think it will damage it. My hair is fine and fragile. It feels a little like when you use a dry shampoo and they need to work on the color b/c it is not a platinum shade. The color is off.

Question
How To Wash Out?
I actually do like this product and I think it's great for in between my coloring appointments, but I have the hardest time washing it out of my hair! And it's not like I'm spraying half a can on it. It's supposed to just shampoo out, but even after 3 (!!) shampoos, I can still feel the product in my hair.
Any advice?

I had to go to my hit colorist to get this out of my hair completely. I followed the advice of another reviewer and used argan oil and that does improve the texture somewhat but it leaves your roots looking oily and then they stand out even more. I say don't use the product, get highlights.

You're correct! This stuff is not easy to get out.

I'd 1st use a deep cleansing shampoo that's supposed to remove buildup (rosemary/mint, etc) and then go back over with an everyday shampoo and a deep conditioner.

I have grey hair and use it to cover the grey when my highlights have grown out. I am very pleased with the way it helps blend in the grey.

Yes...but really if I were you I'd try a cheaper drugstore brand called Beach Blonde first. Same idea but cheaper. It's a great way to experiment without any damage or commitment. You can even use foils like in a salon to get great separation.

The blonde is more of a medium brown when you spray it on. The platinum is really a true blonde
