Rita Hazan Foaming Gloss

What it is:A shine-enhancing, color-correcting foam gloss treatment for color-treated or graying hair. What it does: Keep your locks looking their best with this gloss that keeps your color vibrant and hair glossy between color treatments. It's the very first foaming gloss to boost shine and maintain the integrity of your color all in a lightweight foaming formula you can use in the shower. Try any of the three formulas to suit your specific needs. Foaming Clear Gloss Ultimate Shine adds a mirror-like finish to hair. Foaming Color Gloss Tones Down Brassiness color-corrects to tone down orange and red tones, and eliminates yellow from gray hair. Foaming Color Gloss Enhances Golden Tones corrects color in dull brown and blonde hair and restores richness and warmth to shades of red. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates What else you need to know: Rita Hazan's clients have been asking her what they can do to maintain their color all month long. Before she created this product, their only choice was to come back to the salon for a gloss. So, she created a gloss that her clients could do at home. First, she chose foam since it's easy to apply, and then she started testing formulas and shades until she came up with this variety of perfect formulas. This product is safe for pregnant women and women with keratin treatments. The formula does not contain ammonia, peroxide, or alcohol.

I did not, it's applied in the shower and has no residue. But I didn't get the colored one. It works more like a conditioner. I love this product and will be buying it again! By the way, it did seem to correct the color. Toned down the brassiness of the gold in my hair and made my brunette hair shine like crazy!

Question
Foaming Gloss
I have dark brown shoulder length hair with slight greys thoughout. I really have to look at my hair to see the greys...they're individual strands throughout. My question: Which of the 3 foaming gloss products would work to tone down what little grey I have. Would the Ultimate Shine work enough?

I think it just revived my hair completely. What was colored and not colored. I like the shine along. I have the same color and hair type you do and it would bring out your color, but not really hide the gray.

For your hair color, I would suggest Enhances Golden Tones! It will help brighten the tone of your hair.

You should see it once you dry your hair, but it won't be a dramatic change, more subtle. Perhaps if you use it consistently it will be it will be more noticeable to you.

Hi,
I tried this product 4 times with the best result with a certain shampoo and creme rinse. It does not seem to build up in my hair. The last results were amazing..my hair is very shiny and smooth! I also left the product in for the maximum suggested time.

That depends on whether you want your blonde hghlights warm or cool. I don't think you're your deep brown will be affected. You might try applying this product just to your blonde highlights if you have the time.

Question
I do not color my hair, which of these Rita Hazan products should I use if I want to pump up my hair a bit?
I have brownish hair, probably considered on the lighter side. Sometimes in the summer it can look strawberry blondish in the light. I'd love to have it look more strawberry blonde and hope I could achieve that with the help of one of these products. Which do you recommend? I have uploaded a picture. (this is in the winter time, but this is pretty much how it usually looks).

You'd probably want to use a warm one for gold tones, not sure what its called in this line but usually says something like golden blonde.

Question
How does it cover grey?
Someone wrote that it kept her grey roots from showing. Which one does that? Im not sure how the clear could do that and the other two seem as though they are to tone down harsh highlights. Thanks for any advice.

If you follow the instructions it will help. I haven't found a product like this that works great yet. You could always go back to your colorist and have him/her reapply a suitable toner for an ash blonde.

Question
How long does the gloss last?
I am curious how long the glossiness lasts? Also, I have no idea which product would be best for my hair. I have blonde hair with some light pieces, golden pieces and some brown with of course those pesky grays growing around my hairline and on the top of my head. Any advice?

I have similar colors in my hair, along with the pesky grays popping up around my hairline. The clear gloss works for me, but I've been curious to try the others. Shine lasts for me for abou a week....but I'm hard on my hair with blowouts and flat irons.

It depends on the result you are looking for. I have a cool dark red color so I use the blue. For warm or coppery reds I would use the yellow. For shine only use the clear. I love the blue because it knocks out brassiness but doesn't dull the red, and it also seems to seal and condition my hair.
