Question

What is the diameter of the rollers?

I am particularly interested in the larger purple rollers. Are they "jumbo" (1 1/2" in diameter) or "large" (1" in diameter)?

Has anyone tried to use the flat "hair pin" type clips instead of the butterfly clips that come with this set?

The silver ones are about 1" and the purple ones are about 1.25"... This is approximate, I set the roller on the measuring tape and deducted for the flared rim along the ends of the rollers.

What is considered Short?

I see there is a set for short and long hair. What is considered short? Mine falls right to my shoulders, growing out from a short cut. I wish it was longer, but not yet. Should I wait and purchase the long rollers once it grows out or get the shorter ones. I only plan to grow my hair about 4 inches past my shoulders. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The short set is for shoulder length hair. 4 inches more would require the long. I have shoulder length and I use the short. If my hair were longer I would be frustrated with the short set.
