Hot Pink Mini Ceramic Styler

Hot Pink Mini Ceramic Styler

What it is:A powerful ceramic mini styler that's perfect for travel and beyond. What it does:This compact dual-voltage styler features 100 percent ceramic plates engineered for all hair types. Ceramic radiates far infrared heat that is much gentler on the hair, preserving moisture in the hair shaft and protecting the hair cuticle from damage. The floating plates adjust as you style, which allows you to go beyond straightening and create wavy and curly styles, and prevent tugging and breaking. Great for touch-ups, styling bangs or roots, and finishing, this mini packs a powerful punch. What else you need to know:This product features: far infrared heat and negative ion technology, a unique half-inch floating plate design, and heat-up time within 10 seconds. All Amika tools come with a one-year warranty.

I am wondering if you can take this to the UK? Does it have a cord or is it battery operated?

The styler is dual voltage and should work in the UK. I used it in Budapest with a grounded adaptor I purchased from Tumi and it worked great.

I just returned from Germany and London. I was able to use this in both places. In Germany I plugged it into a converter, and in London the hotel I stayed in had a US outlet.

It has a cord, although if your travelling I would recommend a voltage/plug adapter.

Question
Is it made for traveling abroad?
I'm looking for an iron I can take to Europe and use with a simple adapter instead of carrying around a converter or transformer. Does the "dual voltage" mention in the description imply that? I was reading on the Amika site that it's available with a regular plug or a 12-24 volt car plug, which confused me.

The girl instore told me that it can be used in other countries if you have the right adaptor plug.

Question
Can this be used on tween-agers for flat iron and curling iron as well?
I have an 11 yr old granddaughter that has long blonde hair and she uses a flat iron and curling iron. Will this Ceramic Styler work for her long hair? She only curls the ends slightly under for a smoother look.

I recently broke my right arm and wrist and need to try something easier to use. I need a Styler than can give me body and height on the top and smooth the sides and back. The back is just cut tapered down to the base of my neck and I am hoping I can find something small, lightweight and and easy to use like since I am having to use just my left hand. I have never tried the flat iron and not sure just how it works?

I am sure some of you savvy shoppers can let me know if you think this styler can do what I need. I feel now that my hair is short, it will work and be better for my color treated hair. I look forward to your suggestions and comments about this styler or any other hair care product that is lighyt and easy to use. The top of my hair is flat if I do not lift and style it but the rest is simple.

I sincerely appreciate any information you can provide. It is easier to know before I purchase something and then have to return it. This is why I appreciate the Q&A Service. It certainly help customers like me make an informed decision and eliminates too many unnecessary returns.

This iron is truly meant to be for travel or touch ups. It is "mini" as the title suggests. I take it on trips overseas when I don't want to over pack. It is not really meant to replace your every day flat iron, it will take too long to do your hair with it. It is perfect for travel.

I returned mine because it didn't seem to be getting hot enough to straighten my hair or have any real affect on it.

I returned mine because it didn't get very hot. It wouldn't even straighten my hair, or my Mom's hair.
