answer 1
Absolutely. You always want to use a moisturizer. However, if don't want to appear as oily find a moisturizer that works for you that has a gel base like Clinque!

Some people say that you don't. I have dry skin so I always do, but if you have more oily skin you should try it without moisturizer and see if you like it.

Question
How long did your tube last for?
I bought a full tube but I'm going to be out-of-the-country for 5-6 months and therefore, without access to Sephora or other beauty stores. I want to make sure I have enough to last me the whole time, or if I should invest in a 2nd tube as well.

Depends on how much you actually use (ex: a pump) and how often you would wear it. If it's going to be an everyday thing and a pump or less than a pump each usage I would invest in 2 tubes to be on the safe side.

I just bought it but I do not think its going to last long, it takes quite a bit and the tube seems small to me for the money. 1.0 fluid ounces.

I find this much lighter than a foundation. I apply a little bit at a time and gradually add until I feel that I have enough on and the coverage if where I want it. It has sunscreen which is a great benefit.

It is light weight not a foundation. I apply it right after my mosturizer, and love the fact that it does not leave you a cakey feel or look. It is a very natural look yet it gives you great coverage!! You also don't need a lot to cover your entire face just a tiny little dot les than the size of a pea. : ]

I tried applying this with a foundation brush but it was too light for a brush. I find the best way is to apply with fingertips although I will pick up some sponges and give those a try also.

Maybe you could put some in your palm and mix a bit of moisturizer into it? That will help dilute the color a bit and help you avoid the patchiness.

I have light/fair skin too...I tried everything to get this product to look natural and not orange on me...nothing worked. I tried thinning it right down with serums and moisturisers...I tried applying it with sponges/brushes...they didnt work...I tried adding a very pale foundation underneath it which A. defeats the purpose of an one step product and B.made it light orange instead of dark orange. I would even apply it sparingly and wipe what I could off with a tissue, but that didn't work either. I honestly believe it's the colour and it just isn't for all skin tones...ESP.the light/fair ones... : (

It will depend on your undertones since this tends to lean towards a more yellow undertone. If you have a fair complexion with yellow undertones, then this will work. I hope this helps!

Question
Use with a moisturizer? How much is enough?
I recently purchased this BB cream and love the color and coverage (I am Asian, light/medium/olive complexion w/yellow undertone). I have combination skin, mainly oily in T-zone area. Should I use a moisturizer with the BB cream or does this have enough moisturizer already in it? How much is enough and what is the best way to apply it? Thanks!

I use mine with a moisturizer because its dry in some areas but you don't need to. As for how much you need to you use, i only use very little like maybe a few drops but it all depends on how much coverage you want.

I would be hesitant to use a moisturizer in addition. For one thing, the formula is very thin, so extra lotion would dilute it. For another, you run the risk of making your skin too oily, which may make the rest of your makeup smear. I thought it was sufficiently moisturizing. My skin stayed soft all day with this cream. You can always save your main moisturizing work for the night time.

You need very little of this product, actually. Maybe the size of a dime for an entire facial application? It's thin and smooth enough that you should be able to just rub it in with your fingers. If you wanted to use a brush, you could dab it onto your face first, then use a kabuki brush in a circular motion to smooth out the finish. I found the finger application (like lotion) to work really well, though.

I have combination skin as well, and even with moisturizer it dried out my cheeks, so I'd say definitely wear moisturizer and maybe leave out your T-zone. For application, I have tried using fingers and foundation buffing brush. Both seemed to work just fine.

This is definitely a biased answer, since I really like the Dior Diorsnow BB Creme. The color of the Diorsnow one is lighter and the consistency and texture when it goes on my skin feels nicer than the Hydra Life one.

answer 2
I have not tried both products, but I did research them both when I was looking for the perfect bb cream. The diorsnow contains a whitening/bleaching agent like so many of the Asian bb creams, which is intended to brighten the skin. It also has a higher SPF obviously. The hydralife does not contain the whitening ingredient and has an SPF of 30. I also read that the diorsnow is a little bit lighter while the hydralife is suited for medium-tan skin tones.

I have and use both...the BB cream, to me, is creamier without being thicker and has better coverage then the TM, although the TM has pretty good coverage for a TM. The BB cream has a silky powdery finish with dry down.

BB stands for "Blemish Balm" or "Beauty Balm". It is not brand specific. There are a ton of BB creams availalbe by many brands and they are not all the same. They vary in color, texture, etc. Experiment to find one you like.
