I have dark brown hair and it matches my brow color pretty well. The liquid side is much more sheer and would be better for lighter hair colors. The powder side is much darker and I find that I have to be careful not to use too much (or else look like I have really fake brows!).

I would describe the color as following. Try to imaging mixing brown, grey (smokey shade), and dark blonde. I don't know how well it would work for light hair, but those with brown and dark blonde hair would find this color to be a perfect match I think. My hair is dark brown/black and my skin is fair, so I really wanted just to better define my brows. Together with Anastasia stencils, this product works really well. But if you are looking for dramatic eye brows, this product may not be for you. You have to work a lot of it in to get a heavy look. That is why I think it works great for a day-time look.
I just got it and it's a medium-brown. May be a little light for you. You might prefer a mascara-like eyebrow product to catch the greys: I think this would sort of glide over but not really darken them. Hope this helps.
