Generally you would use the brow pen to add in feathered strokes where you have sparse growth or to darken overall, then use the powder to add staying power and blend any obvious lines. Must go lightly with the powder to avoid being obvious.

You use the marker end first and then the powder. Sometimes I just use the marker and not the powder. Does not come off till you take it off. Love this product.

What color exactly are the marker and powder?

My eyebrows have always been black. As I am getting older, they have sparse grey hairs that lighten them, and i would like them to be darker. The picture for this product makes it look sort of mauvey-purple. What color does it look like on your brows?

I would describe the color as following. Try to imaging mixing brown, grey (smokey shade), and dark blonde. I don't know how well it would work for light hair, but those with brown and dark blonde hair would find this color to be a perfect match I think. My hair is dark brown/black and my skin is fair, so I really wanted just to better define my brows. Together with Anastasia stencils, this product works really well. But if you are looking for dramatic eye brows, this product may not be for you. You have to work a lot of it in to get a heavy look. That is why I think it works great for a day-time look.

I just got it and it's a medium-brown. May be a little light for you. You might prefer a mascara-like eyebrow product to catch the greys: I think this would sort of glide over but not really darken them. Hope this helps.

How versatile is the color?

I noticed that this only comes in one color and I'm wondering how it looks with different brow colors. I have dark brown hair and my eyebrows are even darker--basically black. I'm wondering if this will look odd or be very noticeable with my dark brows.

This color will be perfect for you. I have medium brown hair and it gives me perfect brows. I can even make them darker by adding more. I don't think you will be disappointed in this product.

What color is it?

Usually brow pens come in at least two different colors for lighter and darker hair. This seems to only come in one color if I am not mistaken and does not specify what it is... If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks :)

This pen is definitely for medium brown or darker hair. The powder could be used by dark blondes, but I tend to use it as a base and mix the pen over it. I have dark brown hair and almost non-existent natural brows, so I use the pen liberally, and the color looks good with my natural hair color.

How can one color work for a wide range of eyebrow/hair colors? My eyebrows are quite sparse. Eyes are blue, skin very fair, hair light golden brown .
